I am sorry but what? How can you look at Gunfight’s gameplay and think that’s moronic? He is the most successful Alex player on the planet and he has to play the complete opposite of moronic just to scrape by.
Can we take a moment to talk about how Capcom decided that after like, 5 years, on the known final season of the game, now they gotta add crack protection.
FG division ain’t just clownshoes, they’re the entire outfit.
Okay I knew something had been really throwing me off in BFTG but I think I know what it is. The Specials essentially being One Button or One Direction and a Button is actually a pain in the ass. They still function on Special Cancel conditions, but it’s extremely weird when thrown in the middle of chains. So whereas your other buttons still function in typical magic series fashion you have to wait to push your Special button. I think having motions allowed me to sort of, “gate” this sort of thing in my mind. Now I’m actually inputting things too quickly rather than too slowly.
It’s especially weird with Gia, whose combos on average aren’t really all that difficult at all. But her max range combo requires you to special cancel her 4S from her 5MM series but because the 5MM series hits incredibly disjointed because of being…you know, projectiles, you have to hit 4S far later than you’d think which throws me off because the rest of the link requires you to hit the remaining buttons incredibly fast to make your link. It’s not hard persay, but it’s weird to get a consistent handle on.
Basically A tier of last season is now S minus a couple I guess that’s better… I wouldn’t take that route if I was trying to balance what I thought was the last season of the game but hey.
