Yeah Mr. Scammer, you damn right have to approve those Paypal claims. Let me state it here PAYPAL are issuing refunds NOT you. Of coarse you don’t want to have hundreds of disputes on your Paypal profile and if you were to just take off with the money, Authorities will get involved as your real identity, bank account, etc are all linked.
Please don’t be coming in here trying to save face, it’s clear what you keep trying to do.
To this point you haven’t answered any of the pressing questions that led to the exposure of your fiasco, you have NO RIGHT to demand thread closures or accuse INKBLOT of incompetence. So I’ll say it again, keep clicking on that refund button, no body wants to go to jail.
Like I said ignoring these posts, and I can refute them since the date was set for June 4-6 which has not happened yet which allows me the opportunity to do so. I am not - I am refunding them as quickly as they occur, answering emails, and communicating as much as possible. Please refrain from continuing to troll the forums. It does not help.
It seems silly to me that you guys keep attack manny for the same reasons, he said hes giving you your money back and working to fix all the other problems, and yeah waiting sucks but its not like hes doing anything shady. so just take the time to wait for your refunds and as soon as you go to another gpx event you’ll all realize that everything just exploded into a fuckbomb, through no ones specific fault.
I felt like I had to make a profile to add my 10 cents on this matter. At this point I realize it is like beating a dead horse but I need to log my personal experiences with Mr. Camacho/GPX.
I met them about a year and a half ago at an anime convention. They seemed like standup guys, nice, friendly, approachable. Manny himself is a talker, knows how to talk very eloquently and knows how to keep the attention on himself. I was at one time close to him and his company. I can say that when they are at conventions, they handle themselves. They don’t shit where they sleep. They will take care of certain people. SPECIFIC people. The rest will be taken care of “at a later time”.
When Manny discussed his event GAMME with me, he would often hype it as being the best convention/tournament that would hit Florida. He made me excited for it, although there were some things that were indeed fishy to me. For example, what people pointed out the lack of sponsors, website, and real evidence that anything was going down the way he said it would. Of course, I was reassured that it was all being “taken care of”.
My point is: He’s a nice guy, yes…but he also expects everyone else in turn to praise him. I do not think it was his intention to take from anyone as he wanted this thing to happen as much as the next person. It was his and his company’s reputation on the line for Christ’s sake. There is also the issue of letting pride get the better of you. He bit off more than he could chew and could not admit that to himself or to you guys and instead started placing random blames and picking specific people to attack. There isn’t any situation that Manny can not talk himself out of and that is what he attempted to do. The blame is yours, Manny. Mismanagement and all. The only way you’re going to gain some sort of respect back from this community is to work and show them that you messed up, but you’re working on making that better which I believe you are doing. We’re all humans and we make mistakes. I think perhaps one day the community will come around and realize that it was a mistake…but only when YOU own up and stop placing blame on a thousand little things that you had every ability to control.
It would be Great at least Manny if you could possibly Make Mention of My CEO 2010 Event which I’m going through great lengths to make simply an amazing Fighting Game Tournament. Everything is falling into place and it gives people a reason to still to Orlando if they can’t change their flights already.
That’s all I want to and can ask for is some sort of advertising on the GPX site to let people know that something will take place that weekend here in Orlando.

I have owned up to our mistakes. I am moving on. I never take praise on myself and I am awkward with praise. I have never wanted anyone to say the best event in florida or us or ever. I even told the latest designer of the site to remove the post he placed on the site. lots of people have come to us and said better then EVO better than this and that I am the first to say no…its not about that. we are not in competition with anyone we are building something with the community together. you can say what you like I won’t argue with you - I am trying and working my best.
If I didnt care I would simply not post, would dissappear and forgot about you guys, let refunds run a full dispute course that could take months and move on to other things.
I am still here reading every post and making sure I dont miss anything that is asked, answering emails.
I have taken into account what we did wrong in terms of communicating with our GPX and GAMME staff to see where we failed to make sure people were informed.
I made the mistake of wanting a perfect website instead of just putting up a normal site and build from that. We just added forums after this to improve communication, with staff and audience.
I listen, I get it. I sent an email to Alex about CEO2010, we are considering helping pay for it or covering it.
I dont want praise, and people need to stop using my education or vocabulary as a weakness on my part - I dont speak street and I dont speak in ebonics, it doesnt make a bad person because I formulate sentences differently, doesnt make me any better - I speak the way I speak I understand things differently and I do things differently, this is one mistake in a long line of service. Mistakes are made by everyone. I expect all of you make them too.
But we are here because of one of mine. I am working to fix it

No one is trolling at this point. My post was not to invoke rage or anger, it was simply to state my point. My point was stated and you still were a little dodgy so at this point I, and I’m sure people in this community, have come to expect that. This is me, personally moving on.

lol, ballistics. A yep I’m up. And on another note I think what Googlemyname stated is a great idea, the fact that there is now a replacement tourney on the same weekend is a great way to make amends with some of these people that have flights and hotels and such, a simple statement or mention would be awesome and might even ease the tension of this matter. I think that if everybody could have been informed then we could have used all or resources and strategically moved what you had left in place to this new venue, that would have been the ultimate solution. But none the less the new event is in place so try and see if that’s a possibility, thx. Via Orlando from Orlando.
