I’m not sure where to put this thread so if this needs to be moved then mods do so. As most of you may have heard alot of people were scammed from GPX and GAMME is indeed all but not happening at this moment. Since there’s a quite a few people that bought plane tickets and hotel rooms and are pretty much left with nothing, alot of people among the FG community were talking about making an impromptu tourney to salvage the mess that GPX/Manny/GAMME caused. I made this thread to discuss this and I’ll do my part by update the first post with any tourney details, change titles, etc.
I just got off the phone with Paypal; and if you registered and paid over 45 days ago, you’re pretty much fucked as far as getting your money back. However, the lady told me that if they get enough complaints regarding the issue, they can re-open the case and possibly get our money back to us.
**SO IF YOU PAID WITH PAYPAL: Go to the Resolution Center > Item Dispute > enter whatever the transaction # is for your payment to GPXCORP > Choose ***Tickets ***for the item and ***FL *for the state.
Explain that this was for the GAMME event that was to be held June 4-6, how the event was cancelled and that you want a refund for your ticket/registration. If we make enough noise, there may be a chance we could get our money back. I don’t hold out too much hope, but it’s at least worth a try.
All the people on the other forums that don’t know what’s going on, people that took time off to travel to this canceled event, and the people who have paid $$ for something that’s not going to happen.
I’d like to help out with this screw up. There will be people @ this venue who show up and will be like “WTF” where is the event? Where is Daigo, Empire Arcadia, ect.? Anime cosplay chicks? I PERSONALLY wanted to see Daigo and Wong play each other.
I took good time off of work for this… and I could have been making money.
It’s a good month before the supposedly event. Does anyone know if Daigo can make it?? I would donate some money for his plane ticket. Anyone else?
FYI Daigo has a manager now – someone could have asked his representation if he was attending if people had questions. Not like it’s up to the players to confirm a tourney’s events or anything though.
Good luck to you guys over paying wayyyy long ago with Paypal. Although GPX might get on here still and try to put out the fire. They might be willing to do refunds – since they haven’t posted here for awhile it’s impossible to guess how they’ll react to all this.
Please take that down. You still shouldn’t be posting someone’s personal number for harassment. Get your money back through paypal or try and take legal action, this will get nobody anywhere except for infuriating someone who you want something from.
I guess. I’ve been fucked out of more money than pretty much everyone so i definitely sympathize. I just know Manny has been really ill and in the hospital for the past few days, probably not in the best mindset to deal with tons of spam right now, but I know it won’t stop you guys from doing what you want, haha. Nonetheless the more important thing is figuring out how to salvage this so on top of entry fees, the flights and hotel rooms don’t go to waste.
