I emailed Manny a week ago about a refund but haven’t gotten a response. I filed a dispute with PayPal and then escalated it, so hopefully they can do something about this.

We were there, we brought a lot of equipment, Javier (Demarcus) was T.O.'ing most of the tourneys on Saturday and the request of Keits and I T.O. half the tournaments on Sunday with Javier and Chin Dog took Teams and 3s. We were there working, all weekend long. Plank abandoned the event because he had his issues with us, legitimate or not, he had his agreement with Keits and MWC he wanted to be pissed at us for whatever his reasons were, but he decided to screw over MWC - if something does not go his way, he bails, and he took the Smash community with him.
Sick or not I did not walk away from Keits, I was there and made sure he had what he needed from us.
over 1700 registrations on both ends have been refunded, if you are still missing yours just send us an email it takes some processing time, but the money from the registrations and tournament pots was never touched - so it is automatic, just issue a request through the paypal you paid with and it will be automatic, if you want us to handle it, just send an email to accounting@gpxgaming.net

Because I AM rebuilding the show, I could care less if the people hating on us in here come or not. I am not building for you, that is pretty stupid - I will take some time to make sure its promoted and that I am not scammed by people like Kayel that I always said nothing but professional things, had what appeared to be a nice design and tried to deliver crap in the end. I won’t accept crappy work, that is why the site is not up. People like this are the reason why the site never went up, that affected a lot of information.
People Like Plank, that we took in to help and work with turned his back on us, because we work we dont sit on our asses, he didnt like that. he walked away on SRK at MWC and he will walk away the moment he realizes its not what he wants. I already told Mew2King he planned to DQ him from the start and we defended him during those issues. VG Bootcamp whether he liked them or not worked hard at Pound all he does is slam them all the time, the Mages, Josh, alex Stryfe all he does is slam these people without mercy and then say nice things to their faces…but Im the jerk for sticking to my guns and not backing down from someone pointing a finger at me.

I contacted Alex to tell him I was sorry for how things turned out and that I would help, I was going to offer, discretely to pay for the venue - what is $2000? I dont mind helping with something that small.
but with the damages done here I would lose $150,000 plus with everything being put in the show after losing most of the preregistration because this community freaked out on us, and yes Inkblot definitely made a huge mistake by hijacking our thread…that was a no no - its called

Hey, Manny, you remember how people had simple questions you refused to ask? And there were a number of issues that came up that you had no reasonable explanation for? You remember how you didn’t answer a fucking one? You think that might have something to do with why SRK “turned on you?”
“You can just send your plane somewhere else” is not an acceptable answer for switching dates. “we have sponsors of course, and maybe at some point we’ll tell you who they are” is not an acceptable explanation for how the event was being financed. “I spent $18,000 on a shitty website” is not an acceptable excuse for why people couldn’t register properly, pages weren’t being updated, registration was failing, and information was sparsely available a month before the event. Moreover, “I emailed MLG” is not an explanation for why you claim to have been doing things on agreement with MLG when MLG had no knowledge of it. Are we supposed to believe some random really felt like making you change dates for the fuck of it, with no explanation? Nevermind the IMPOSSIBLY stupid decision to change dates on such short notice in the first place. You don’t feel that requires more explanation than “I talked to MLG about it?” Of course not, because it was all bullshit.
The best part about all this is that whenever anybody tries to take you to task, you refuse to take ANY responsibility whatsoever. Bottom line though, Manny has too many excuses and unanswered questions. Despite the change of plans and SRK’s frenzy (which seems understandable when it looks like you’ve wasted a shit ton of time and money), this could have been nipped in the bud if key questions were answered in a clean, precise manner. Instead, all that came forth were vague details, hazy promises, glaringly obvious contradictions and super dodge rolls. When it comes down to it, Warpticon nailed it straight on. Yet, his first response is to say “Who are you? You’re a nobody.” For all you knew, though he made it clear he wasn’t, Warp could have been one of your many clients who has invested his time, money and trust in your event.
I could go on for a lot more than that, but it’s all been said already.
TL;DR - Warpticon is my fucking hero.

This situation sucks, but I answered what I thought was each question.
up until all this crazyness we never cancelled the show. I stated I don’t need sponsors, we are the sponsor of the event. someone posted the issues with MLG I was shocked, I needed time to get back to Miami (we were in St. Louis) to get everything I had from the office. I needed time to deal with what I had in front of me.
I was flying from St. Louis to LA for a Funeral, I flew back after to Miami and checked into a hospital that Sunday night - I was unable to get to what I needed until After. I said that - but I am getting insulted for that.
I apologize for coming at you, it is wrong of me - you guys may not believe me or care, but I never wanted this.
When someone posted about Daigo, I posted every email I had from Issei.
There are no excuses, it is what it is. I am sorry that people invested time, money and energy on this event for it to have turned into this. We have pretty much refunded all the attendees there are still some processing im sure. I have offered to help with anyone that has issues with flights, from reversals, alternate routes, refunds.
I am not sure what else I can do. I understand you guys needed answers right away but there are other things we do in our day, we are not always on SRK.
Any of you in my shoes would also want to state something in your own defense to the people that are popping out of the woodwork. it is natural.

I dont want to argue or deal with bashing I just want to resolve any leftover problems and make good on whats left. I still have events on the table from other tournaments that we will be at, we wont back out on these guys, we will help them and do everything we can to make them successful. I just want the hating to stop and come up with real solutions.
The heat is going to come from people regardless of what questions you answer from this point on. In my opinion, focus more on your upcoming events, clean up the website and make sure that everyone gets their refunds sorted out. If you do a good job, then the community will come around on their own accord. Good luck.

They have contacted the accounting email as well as called to no avail. I understand that $40 to $60 isn’t nothing to you, but it’s a lot when some folks have to work hard for change!

Despite everything that happened you seem to be doing everything right as of now, kinda late but doing it right is all that matters. I know deep down inside your a good dude I just think too many things happened at once your family thing, health thing, funeral thing, and it all blew up in the span of one week. That shit is real man, real life comes fast (and for anyone that has ever planned an event its fucking nerve racking, and you probably have no idea what it’s like to put so much money and time into something that doesn’t reap the benefit until the day of the event). I hope you live as long and as best as possible, and I’m very sorry for your loss, losing a loved one is very hard to cope, with especially with all the stuff that’s been going on. Even though the situation is crazy you need to build time to grieve and so forth so just kinda fall back for a while man and give your self time to heal, cause at the end of the day all of this shit is trivial compared to the most important thing in your life, and that being your health and family. I am going over all the emails, I answered all the emails I have on my list here as new. Any refunds that go through the dispute system on paypal has been marked by us to not dispute so it takes some time, and paypal has its process. Only email I had this morning that was one that got missed in the cracks was from Tim Wen which was Judy Wen. Already answered in 2 emails, one for the refund and one for the flight.
When it comes to the flights I am using a process we did for another company that had this problem, we contact the airline and get a contact person to communicate to for each flight that comes our way to fix for this airline and then we fax them a letterhead with the information on our show and each person that requests help on the flight from us we then fax another one and the release the fees to refund. It has already been done for a few folks.
Refunds take time, there are quite a lot of them being issued, but that money was never touched so its there to return. just takes some time.
Thanks, I appreciate the comment. I’ll be able to relax once we solve all these issues and we can move on. We just finished MWC successfully for Keits and we have many others the rest of the year I’ll be at some but I will be taking my work home, let my boys handle things for awhile. Heh, I think you were up 5 bucks last time if I remember right.
