rofl.
who still plays?
Aside from a few hardcore groups, I do not see marvel competition the way it used to be.
anyways if you guys want to learn cable watch recent rowtron vids. He still positions the best, has the best guardbreaks, and the coolest tricks. His cable is still ahead of its time. Aside from moving forward too much, he uses cable the best (for his style). I’ve already described how I think cable should be used, but rowtron’s style is much more “exciting”
a man of great wisdom
Potter forgets that every area isnt like cali used to be.
A small group of hardcore players is all that most of us ever had.
Looking back at sb3 with 80+ players and more than half of them really beastly, it’s hard to say that marvels dead unless you’re simply stuck back in the days of old cali.
If I had someone to play with, id still be playing every day. :xeye:
alright bro you can stop quoting me in every thread. I’m not stuck in anything, if anything, you’re still in evo 03’ thinking that people are still hungry to play marvel. A lot of top players gave marvel up after sb3. It’s great you still have a strong competitive drive, but don’t fool yourself thinking marvel is still growing. Regardless of the opinions I have of marvel, check the numbers for the tournaments. they’re consistently much lower and the level of competition is lower as well due to players giving the game up. And since we’re making assumptions about each other, here is mine of you: you are salty that you missed a bunch of evos and epic tournaments, and you’re trying to embrace what’s left of marvel in an attempt to salvage what you could have been but never were.
back to TACTICS:
tick throwing with magneto is better than other sf games because it prevents your opponent from jumping (instantly) and you can then throw them. Use it in the corner.
I wonder when you decided that i cared that much.
I’m just pointing out that people still play the same as they always did.
I really dont feel like i missed out on anything considering sb3 was the best tourney i’ve ever been to.
keep it up u pudgy little mex
lol?
okay you shady, 40-year old hick trying to go to college
eat a dick
well how do you do it if you cant throw from block stun?
sorry for sounding like a noob.
potter vs. mixup MM at evo?
you grab them once they leave block stun
who used to play?
counting the days so i can cash in this ss check
you’re fucking ridiculous, retard redemption world tour?
who the fuck told you that i wanted to go to every tourney and that i thought i was good enough to redeem myself?
you’re pretty fucking amusing for being so transparent.
quarter century old is GEEZER status i’m fully aware:wasted:
If you finish college, you’re way ahead of me. I left one year early because it turns out you make way more working developing software than you do learning about it. I’ll be proud of you. I’m proud of anyone that takes the time to finish that long-ass haul. I’d go back today… but I’m still getting paid good money to spend my time learning/writing software, and that totally works for me.
What are the best countercharacters for Storm and Sent… other than Magnus and Cable?
just a loser imo
Marvel is still popular at CF / nyc, though a lot of heads play at home.
Sanford, Yipes, Justin show up time to time, but probably to play SF4 and they’ll just get a streak in mvc2 for the fun of it.
It’s too bad T6 BR isn’t more widespread in the US. I think it’s a very slightly more fun than mvc2, but I guess a bit more ‘random’. Tekken is getting absurdly deep where you really have to study frame data for a large majority of the cast (42 characters).
IM or Strider. Which one is more fun or worth the time to learn how to play as? I’m currently just messing around in training mode with IronMan/Cable/Doom and Team Clockwork since I don’t have any one to play against.
ill mm u next time ur at cf??
haha if u want to counter Storm and Sentinel, usually i can take them with Doom, Tron and sometimes Blackheart but i would not recommend Blackheart against them. Just pick Sentinel to counter Sentinel so its an even match up haha
I remember Potter being one of my favorite players during the Marvel Golden Age. [/trolling]
Mag/Cable/Tron ftw
