I guess I’ll post a “STOP FUCKING DOING THIS” since I don’t have a question right now:

If you’re up against megaman with magneto stop trying to beat mega out in the beginning of the matchup… you’ll easily save yourself 1/2 of your life bar if you just BLOCK. Yet everyone and their sugar daddy seems to want to mash out megaman and lose out 1/2 a bar for free.

STOP FUCKING DOING THIS

any thoughts on sent/doom/commando?

seems to me this team counters any magneto/storm realy well.

anytime you get close to sent you have to guess which assist and also when its getting called.

doom/commando can give alot of sentinals problems.

well maybe not against a sent/commando.

As much as it pains me to say this (and I would LOVE to have all Magnuses start neutral/away), you’re wrong.

No, I won’t explain that because the world needs more Magnus, Storm, or Sent players like we need to poop out of our eyes.

But it’s true. Magnus can own Megaman up. Much like hitting the unblockable against Tron, this is one of those data points that I’m happy aren’t widely known.

But just because YOU don’t know it doesn’t mean you’re right.

Sorry. I love your theory, though, but it is wrong.

lolwhat?

dash->normal jump forward->airblock

megaman

First of all, don’t write one thing down here and then private message me telling me another… either PM it all the way or public it all the way.

Secondly, this is about facts, not opinions, and nothing that I said was wrong:

Magneto does not have to attack in the beginning of the round, he could, god forbid, simply block! Choice is in the player, end of story. They are eating your same OTG damage combo in the game because they choose to attack in a high risk low reward situation.

Bad attempt at trolling.

groan. I know you think I hate you, so I pm’d you saying “yes, I was actually serious, I know you’re absolutely going to misinterpret this.”

the actual pm

[details=Spoiler]I know you’re going to think that note on MM vs Mags was just random veiled hate, but I’m 100% serious. I’ve simply asked the people that know to keep quiet about it and they’ve obliged so far. It’s not like anybody actually has to worry about MM in any serious match anyways.

Magnus doesn’t have to attack against anybody: he can get rocked against Sent and many other people too. My point was simply that … it’s to their advantage if you don’t know how to handle the match-up.

The fact that you tried sliming me (‘bad attempt at trolling’?) when I was actually trying to help you bothers me, but whatever. You’re mental, dude. I’ve moved on.

OK, anybody who’s not SW, you can pay attention to what I said if you want. I vaguely apologize for actually trying to be helpful.

Comparison: Sentinel can do glitched-dash back, various jump attacks, glitched short xx snap, Storm can do glitched lightning attack, etc etc. If you really want to get good at Magnus, you should be methodical and learn how to beat things. I love the thought that Magnus should never attack on opening, but – really, that makes you a lesser player. If you want to be good you should learn how to beat situations.

(And you should try glitched lightning attack some time against a Magnus glitching cLK. It’s pretty funny.)

300 pound Eugene plays that team pretty damn well. Shit is annoying, and yeah, I feel like im guessing which assist to angle my attacks against.

Still, if you guess right, it can be a double snap pretty easily if sents blocking fails, so I guess its still a pretty even matchup.

Doesn’t 300 lb Eugene play Doom-A though? It’s a hilarious team.

Yeah, that shit is really pretty hard to get in on. I tried counter picking scrub 2nd round it was so bad for my magnus last year.

Risuno, +39 on block is completely broken. That move is banned from casual play.

You cant be banning normals now :lovin:

Hint of Jalepeno blows Hint of Lime out of the water.

And yes, if we don’t see some great Chun Li videos against unsuspecting victims at FR, I’ll be sad. People want to know how to better whore already-dominant Magnus, but – Chun Li is pretty darn awesome too. If she did better damage, she’d take the place of Rogue. If you like low tier, look into Chun Li.

Once I get my execution down pact Ill most likely play her full time. Im sure you will see her in some casuals though.

If anyone plays strider/doom against me in the tourney Ill counter pick a loss with her for sure. Other than that itll likely be all casuals this year, unless my execution becomes godlike over the next month.

Have you tried using Storm assist to support Magnus?

i wasnt looking for tips on how to beat that team, just opinions of it.

bipolar much?

friends?

MSP much, the randomness is rubbing off on me.

The appropriate term is neutral.

Keeping this on topic, in you guys’ opinion, what are the keys for a great team scrub player?

What are the matchups to watch out for, and what separates the mediocre Cable players from the great ones?
