The fact his V-trigger has the potential to be used for two different purposes is interesting, but makes me wonder what kind of bar size it’s going to be. Considering how it seems to work, I think it would be the first good V-trigger to actually just be a gauge, as opposed to a doctored amount. Or at least allow him to only use a portion of it to suck them in really quick, or something. Again, just looking for more diversity with these things.
I’m very hype for Zangief’s announcement. His moves look dope as fuck and I can easily see him being a threat, hell I could even forgive his nurtured super art.
His design being the same is disappointing I must admit. They could do so much with him that its a shame Capcom doesnt have the guts that games like MK does to update their fighters looks. You can always do classic outfit DLC.

There have always been Alex players in every version of SF3 even in 3rd strike where he was nerfed. The moment they finally bring him back there will be as big a popoff as when Karin was announced, maybe bigger.

Depends on the situation and parry/spd startup really. If you are at a frame disadvantage and I am assuming parry will be faster than SPD you might have time to parry but not for SPD.
Did you see the recovery on that headbutt? Stopped the first hit of Dictator’s EX fireball and still had time to walk before blocking the next one.

Alex came 23rd in the favorite character poll, not bad but not amazing. Gief did come above him (16th), and I think the attitude some Alex fans have that nobody uses Gief or likes him is false.
Alex has done much better in other polls that disqualified all the SF4 characters. And those werent anywhere near voted as much. I understand people are frustrated that their fav character hasnt made the game yet, but Alex fans seem to be the first to say “screw everything” from Capcom to other SF characters.
I can’t speak for everyone so your issues with fanatics is between ya’ll. You’ll always have crazies in anything, doesn’t make discounting the entire fanbase any less childish and stupid.
Btw Alex in that poll was only beaten by Iconic characters, and Juri. Your poll only shows how pitiful SF3 characters are treated given that they are pretty well received as a group.

Isn’t the 360 shortcut in SF4 already a 225 degree rotation? So that’s just one ‘step’ up from a half circle, if they simplified it anymore it would be strange… but I could see Capcom doing that.

Zangief was 38 in Street fighter 4 given that his birthdate is 1956. so post SF3 he would be at most 41 depend on what year SF5 takes place so his hair could likely still be black. gray hair is determine by genetics .
