HSPD dash into clp xx slk xx lariat
It is only character specific due to distance
Chief, I didnât want to say anything but yeah lol.
Better conversions off pokes into damage means heâll automatically be better than Season 1 Gief. They gave you more tools so you wonât have to flex as often to begin with. Half the reason you had to flex so much in Season 1 was you had no tools to land a knockdown or real conversion off a button.
Heâs better now. Some things got nerfed, but the buffs clearly offset. Headbutt building meter on fireballs especially.

SPD lost 20 dmg
Lariat gain 20 dmgThe situation may not be too worst I hope
^ this. Instead of having EX SPD as your ONLY source of damage you can convert off various pokes.
Of course -20 dmg in S1 wouldâve been bad since if you didnât land those SPDs you basically dealt no damage, but now that you have more options is it really that horrible?
btw as scratchback said Iâm a bad player so Iâll leave the complaining to you.
mp can link lp combo
headbutt get max
ppp can combo 100 %
enough tool for deal fire ball
hp hk low hp can combo with ca
zangief ss1 we not have tool to fight fireball
ss2 more tool new combo dp no invisible all is good for zangief
damage nerf no problem
very happy i can use new move name mp (i forget this move long long time )
lol
Iâm very weary about how good st.MP is going to be. I mean it sounds nice, but if you go in training mode and play around with it, youâll see that st.MP, cr.LP doesnât connect unless you are super close to the opponent, nearly point blank. Even if you connect it from the max range where cr.LP still combos, I have my doubts about lariat reaching that far.
Regardless tho, how do we get close enough to make use of the new st.MP combo? After EX/HP/air SPD? Not enough frame advantage to dash up and st.MP. After an AA jab or cr.HP? Sure, you can do it, but why when you have headbutt which does way more damage and links into a more reliable st.LK xx lariat? I guess you can do it on meaty VT and get more damage than you would from cr.LP x2.
st.MP being +2 is a very nice incentive to use it more in neutral, especially against 4-framers and will probably be the more useful of its buffs. The comboability tho? I donât think thatâs gonna amount to much.
Also, I dunno how I glossed over lariat getting a damage buff. With that, Iâll say that the SPD dmg nerf isnât horrible, but it was still laughably unnecessary and all of us are gonna think about it every time we SPD somebody and they have pixels left and make a comeback.
i think after use with jump lk maybe mp close enough to link lp combo.
very nice if jump lk (block ) cr lp (block) mp (hit) can link lp combo
trap ppl try to jump spd
I really think s.mp combo is meaningless
Cmp is a better option than s.mp
Cmp is 6f startup in S2, which same startup as s.mp
Cmp can link into slkppp which will be 100% reliable, i really have no reason to use smp instead of cmp in close range

Trust me
Gief will never has enough tools to fight fireballs
Even he got a green hand in SF4!
How come you think gief can fight fireball well by just gaining more meters?
Also, you cant headbutt fangâs fireball, dhalismâs fireball.
WTF the damage buff on lariat seems fake

This! You still have to be close to use MP. I use it a lot to stuff pokes. The issue is how the fuck are you going to get in still. Seriously.
Whoever commented and said âlariat is a backhanded buffâ was correct.
Zoners got buffs and zangief got ran over by Peter or whoever is in charge.
You have to be close to use st mp⌠wut???
Itâs great at punishing whiffed limbsâŚ
@OceanMachine, what does st mp combo into on normal hit then on counter hit. My apologizes if you posted this already.
Never mind I see it.
they are making fun of gief players
i think that he will be lower in s2 than he is now
the terrible mus like guile nash chun urien are ridiculous now âŚ
What
ExRBG get higher dmg on counter hit???

What
ExRBG get higher dmg on counter hit???
Yea Iâm confused by that as wellâŚ
man i like the changes he got he was my secondary probably will move to main now with birdie getting kinda destroyedâŚ
The buff on his VT (Half consumption) is really useful.
We always use VT after HSPD/exSPD.
However opponent can waste our VT meter by non-quick rise.
We can not do LV3 VT anymore when we throw out the 2nd VT again for their normal raise.
Now the problem should be solved due to half consumption.
BTW I donât understand so much on the damage change on VT.
Only buff the damage on the first hit of VT lariat???

Yeah Iâm liking the VT buff too. Does this mean we get 2 potential âjugglesâ off of VT now?
