Are all his set ups the same from spd?
I couldn’t tell from the videos if he landed a Hp spd or not in the middle of the match.
From that video he lands light and EX SPDs and I think they look the same. I didnt see the gief player do any setups so its hard to tell

After playing a set against a good Guile I would really like to be able to dash cancel the charging fierce, similar to a focus attack. The backwards dash would be great to bait whiffed flash kicks. After you’ve conditioned them to sit still you can dash cancel forwards to gain ground.
I was playing against a necalli and thought that same exact thing.
Would most likely be deemed too strong, upper body focus attack. The ability to cancel out of making my hurtbox expand fullscreen would be nice though.

I really have to learn to use Gief’s VT to its full potential.
If the st. short really does pull opponents in you could follow up with a tick fierce spd instead of jab or strong.
that tick is unsafe due to frame data tho
I think the idea is you combo it a couple of times and then do the grab when the opponent is expecting lariat again, for extra damage
Yeah I agree, use the combo to condition them to block and eventually reset with the spd. What I meant with my last post was that you can use a fierce spd instead of the jab or strong ones if the st. short pulls them closer to you. Jumping attack, st. short to fierce spd for instance. That’s not possible right now.

- st. HP is +2 oH (was +1)
- cr. LP is +4 oH (was +5)
- cr. MP is 6f (was 7f)
- cr. HP is +2 oH (was +1)
- cr. LK is +2 oB (was +1)
