Just wish I was better at using Gief overall. I really need to get better at using and timing for punishes after blocking attacks. My whole strategy is built around wake up game.

In 4 her DP didn’t work because OS EX GH blew that shit up free on wakeup and also stopped her from backdashing. Doubt Gief is gonna have anything like in V but hopefully its not too bad.

Quick question guys. Why does rbg randomly just whiff for no reason sometimes? I’ll go for a tick and it just whiffs and of course the opponent is just standing there supposed to get hit but instead they get to punish me wtf?

Counter hits will mess up the tick setup into Siberian Express.

If you cancel st.lk to lk rbg too fast it will whiff as well sometimes. I like st.lk xx mk rbg. A little slower but the hit stun won’t cause you to whiff.

EX will always connect by the way.

Ex is the fastest version of the move, so this is unlikely. It shouldn’t be used outside of reversal situations, anyway.

Ex will whiff on a st.lk hit xx ex rbg.

I’ve had ex rbg whiff often. And yes, its definitely counter hit that screw it up. You’re punished for good footsies if you use rbg.

I always do MK RBG. It’s slower but it always connects. LK and EX will whiff if you’re too close and they get hit by the button.

Cr.lk xx lk rbg seems to work on hit no problem. So does cr.mk. If you have your heart set on ticking with St.lk be safe and just use mk rbg.

Or better yet, don’t bother. Why risk a rbg when it can be jumped, DPed, and will (oftentimes) whiff on hit. Its worse than an mkx tick throw to be perfectly honest, at least those also grab jumps.

I’m comfortable with taking the risk with RBG. I used to think the move sucked but have had great success with it lately. It needs to be ticked into, snuck into your mix-ups, and never done at max range. RBG takes advantage of the 8 frame input lag and makes the move unreactable. It gets beat by mashing invincible reversal and holding up, but so does SPD. I feel like the move is best used when tension is high in the match and momentum is in your favor. The damage is good, corner carry is awesome, and it leaves you in great positioning.

If anything, you condition them to jump when they see certain buttons so its easier to bait them into getting hit with air SPD

You can do the same with ticks into ground spd, just condition them to jump after a certain tick.

If the only reason you get use out of it is due to input delay, you need to reconsider it as a tick in your offense.

It’s not just that. You get a meaty setup and corner carry. Considering you get jack shit off LP/MP SPD, that’s not bad. The move sucks, but it’s not completely useless.

You get +2 advantage at st.lk range after MP SPD > Dash. If you have a choice between RBG and MP SPD, go for the MP SPD.

Was it tested how much advantage we get between siberian express, and how different they are from one other?
