From what people were telling me X-Sabers do well against Six Samurai. We can’t tell in the OCG since they don’t have the key monsters to run X-Sabers.
Getting sick of Konami making really shitty support for Black Feathers. I mean, a lot of them don’t follow the theme’s trend and just have random effects that don’t help the theme at all. It’s pretty laughable that the monster line-up for Black Feathers is exactly the same since it’s release.
Blackwings need their own version of RotA. Whirlwind is a great card but having only one doesnt really cut it unless your willing to put down $$$ for Pot, so they need to give them another search card.
Sabers can swarm the field faster than Six Sams and if they go just toe to toe, Six Sams get crushed. But its the new support + Gateway that makes Six Sams ridiculous.
Got it from ebay, most card shops in the UK sell it for like £80+ so I was going to buy it from America for £50 but then one popped up from the UK that night for £27 so I jumped on it :3.
lol I don’t give a crap if I can’t use in tournaments I just bought Japanese Super Ultra Mega Saiyan rare where the stars are holo Vennominaga for 10 bucks on ebay. (Including shipping) XD
I was thinking of mixing it with other cards or maybe a combo with Mirror Force + Dark Mirror Force but, I think i’m actually not gonna get it. Gotta save money for my venom deck. currently this is what I have in mind.
I almost have all these, still working on it though.
1x Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes
2x Vennominon the king of Poisonous snakes
1x Venom Boa
2x Venom Serpent
2x Venom Snake
2x Venom Cobra
3x Reptilianne Naga
3x Reptilianne Viper
3x Oshaleon
There’s a lot of good reptile support cards to work with. I’d tried modifying the deck to make it more consistent but I got lost with all of the interesting card strategies you could do. In the end I ended up focusing more on a Reptillanne deck instead of a venom deck. I will give some deck suggestions:
Monsters:
-2 Venom Cobra. 2000 def normal monsters don’t help in the long run. That’s 2 cards you could use for support to speed things up
I would focus on a win condition. Right now the deck has too many strategies it’s going for and it makes it inconsistent. If your going for Venomnaga then put her in 3’s and focus on getting her out asap.
Spells:
+2 or 3 Terraforming. If you are focusing on Venom Swamp then you should be tutoring that card right away.
-Field Barrier to protect it but deck space is tight
-Snake Rain to thin the deck out letting you draw key combo cards quicker. It’s also good fodder for Venominom and Venomnaga. Snake Rain can dump Venominom and let you SS him from the grave
-+1 or 2 Viper’s Rebirth. In a pure reptile deck where monsters are getting destroyed consistently you want to revive and reapply pressure with counters as much as possible or SS venominom destroy him and then summon Venomnaga
-Allure of Darkness - all of them are dark monsters and it helps add a draw engine
-+3 Pot of Duality - It’ll help to make consistent draws and get key cards faster
-Burial from a Different Dimension - If you are RFGing a lot this card will help for sure. It really depends on how the strategy of the deck plays.
-+1 Dark Hole - Staple card that is a must have in every deck now
-+1 Monster Reborn - Also another staple card and with 2-3 viper’s rebirth you can replenish your field consistency
-Book of Moon if you require more defensive plays
-1 venom shot - Too inconsistent at one
Traps:
-Alien Brain - It lets you take control of the monster that destroyed a reptile monster by battle and then the monster is treated as a reptile. You can chain this with Snake Whistle to get 2 monsters out for a nice neutral position.
+2 Bottomless Trap Hole, +1 Torrential Tribute, +1 Mirror Force - All of these are staple cards in any deck. At the very least +2 BTH
-Solemn Judgment, Solemn Warning to kill any SS’
-Trap Stun to help your pushes
-Damage=Reptile - I’m hesitant on this one but it helps replenish your field presence as much as Snake Whistle does
-Limit-Reverse - Summon Venominom put him in defense he gets destroyed, flip Rise of the Snake Deity. Again your deck focus is important when deciding on this card.
Man…the game has changesd so much since I last played.
I quit around Invasion of Chaos right before the Ban list cause I didn’t like how the game was going to end up once it was implemented.
I tried getting back into it about 3 years ago with some friends…but the game was just way too different for my liking. And I hated Cyber Dragon.
So I opened my Volcanic Neo-Dragon Dudebro tin today, and I noticed one of the five advert slips inside was for a new Wii game. I was really disappointed when the last one turned out to be some duels on motorcycles bullshit. This one is apparently an actual YGO card game though and it has WiFi. : o
Wait what?? Plants is the one top tier deck that can go without Duality. In fact, in most builds, it’s kinda bad.
Also, common Lonefires don’t exist. Rares go for 4-5 at most in my area, and some places sell for 3
Personally, I thought the Chaos area was too much and got put off from it. That being said I don’t like the current trend in Yu-Gi-Oh now. The game is far too fast paced and rounds can end easily in 2-3 turns. The Synchro mechanics has changed the game far too much, imo. The Synchro monsters cover far too much in terms of deck strategies and basically the main deck focus’ on holding out long enough until you can drop a card combo that will finish the game, which usually involve field swarming with synchros for game. It becomes so generic now because the Extra Deck is pretty much the same between decks with only a few differences based on the archetype you are using. Synchro’s rendered Fusions useless and killed many different deck types. Control decks became too easy with 1 card to stop SS, 1 card to stop traps, 1 card to stop this strategy, etc… It’s no longer a cohesive strategy to control the pacing of the duel like the old Monarch decks use to do.
