Does this game allow for full deck customization? Duels of the Planeswalkers was dat crack, but that was the one disappointment for it. If this has it, I may give it a shot, despite the fact that I don’t play Yu Gi Oh.
I only played the trial but could edit the deck in that so that’s a yes. Anyone know how many cards/sets this game has?

Yeah, it does. Difficulty isn’t kind though. You get a real meh deck, and you got people running freaking Disaster Dragons or Frognarchs…
I played the demo and went 2-1, beat gadgets/geartown and something else, then lost to some stall deck with grand mole. the starter deck is absolute ass. I’ll probably get this tonight/tomorrow.
and the banlist threw me the hell off. heavy storm? what the hell? september '10 please.

The first runthrough I did, I went 3-0 in the Prelims then made it to the Finals against Jack. Then I blinked and he had REDMD and Blue Eyes out on me within a second on top of Stamping Destruction…yeah…
I’m getting decent stuff though. I got 2 Obelisks so soon i can make my Obelisk deck from RL.
How good is the online feature? That will be the thing that sells it for me…

know what would be awesome? clearing all achievements and getting a duel disk for your avatar, but I doubt konami would ever do anything that cool.
This game is so fucking addicting. I like that the computers are actually challenging to. I really hope they keep this “earn” your cards system and not sell cards for Microsoft points. Also since when was Monster Reborn playable now? I haven’t played YuGiOh since 2006. I wish there would be something like a spectator mode, but the spectators wouldint be able to see any cards except the ones activated and are on the field.
EDIT: The net-code is pretty good, haven’t had problems with lag yet, but the way player matches are handled sucks ass. Once you beat or lose to your opponent you have to re-invite them to the lobby again, there is no rematch option unless your doing first to 2/3 matches, but you still get kicked after your done. Dont know much about how tag team matches are handled though.
It’s been coming off and on the ban list since last year. They’re tinkering with the 3 Revival cards (MR, Call, Premat) in different ratios to see how it goes. It’s actually fun to have MR back though.
But the game is pretty addicting, especially the good feeling you get after a win and all the good cards start flashing up.
Don’t got the game…but is it true that this shit uses the Dark Strike format list?? o.O
Unfortunately yes…however, it’s like Konami knows they messed up because every time DSF is brought out against me I got Brain Control waiting.
I miss having 2 RoTA’s.
Other than the Dark Strike thing, I don’t really mind the March 09 list from the one now TOO much. At this point though, they’ll probably update the list when they update the packs.

It’s pretty recent, and they’re adding more in 4 weeks 
It’s solid, but you’ll want to play single-player for quite a while as you don’t get cards for online play and the starter is ass.
I sure hope so.
And yes, this game is becoming quite addicting.
