summoning big monsters in a IRL duel is incredibly gratifying.
I threw together a dandy quickdraw deck for fun and realized that its really easy to get three monsters on the field at once with it, so I threw in the legal god cards.
HAY - someone tell me how awful this deck is. I know nothing of any rules of deck construction or meta gaming. I made this deck to do nothing but inflict burn damage and to stall the opponent.

I think this might break some Limit rules too, now that I’m looking at this - lol. A few of these made me scratch my head even, since I haven’t played it in a while and I don’t remember why they’re in there, like Luster Dragon.
Welp guys, i’m heading to a card store that has one of those Duel Terminals tomorrow.
Gonna check that out and see what cards they got and for what price, it’s been many years since i’ve gone to a card shop as the one I use to go to shut down.
I just purchased 2 Yubels + 2 Yubel Incarnate, on my quest to make my personal specialty, Yubel deck.
Are there any good yu-gi-oh video games. I had played Duelist Rose years ago, but didn’t really like it. I was hoping for something that plays like an RPG that allows me to buy cards, earn cards from playing against other players, full deck customization, the ability to change rules like increase/decrease starting LP, time limit, etc., and virtual representations of the monsters, traps, and spells.
If you’re looking for all of that…don’t bother looking for a game. Most people got over the Virtual Representations because they tend to make the game…slow.
Closest thing you’re going to get to a GOOD YGO game is the Tag Force series.
Do y’all think it’s better to go with a themed deck or just pick a bunch of good cards together? I was thinking themed decks probably work better as just about every card is working with another.
Right now I’m running a Zombie/Dark deck and it seems like I’m doing better this way.
Castle of Dark Illusions and Pumpking buffs all my zombies
Mystic Plasma zone buffs all of my dark elemented monsters which includes 80% of my monsters
Call of the Mummy protects me if I’m open as long as I have a zombie in my hand
Soul Absorbing Bone Tower protects itself as long as there are other zombies on the field and every time I special summon a zombie I destroy two cards at the top of my opponent’s deck.
Regenerating Mummies can be revived if they’re killed while in my hand.
Pyramid Turtle allows me to special summon any zombie from my deck with a def of 2000 or less.
Double Coston allows me to treat him as two monsters for a lvl 7 tribute summon for a Dark monster
Vampire Lord can be revived like regenerating mummy and is also needed for Vampire Genesis
Vampire Genesis can allow more zombie special summons
Book of Life allows me to special summon a zombie from the graveyard and remove an opponent’s monster from play.
zombies should run plaguespreader zombie (easier to get since it was reprinted as a gold rare), mezuki (also now in gold), zombie master and goblin zombie for sure. pyramid turtle is iffy, as is il blud (unless you’re building a supervise zombie deck).
avoid field spells if possible - mystic plazma zone can help your opponent too. if you DO run a field spell, go with zombie world - then your opponent can’t tribute for monarchs and you can run paladin of the cursed dragon / red-eyes zombie dragon and revive almost anything you destroy in battle. likewise, synchro summoning doomkaiser dragon can get you anything in your opponent’s graveyard when zombie world is up.
Pyramid Turtle can fish basically any zombie you want out of the deck… just fight something that has a higher attack, take the small hit to your life points… and summon something good out of there i.e red eyes …
Run max books of life and zombie worlds too…
Mezuki is limited to one card iirc…
Burial from a different dimension to reuse Mezuki…
More than one zombie red dragon helps, you could run Il Blud, but its like some broke ass version of it…
Paladin of cursed dragon
Field Barrier could be used…
Terraforming
Everliving underworld cannon
Marionette Mite
Just suggestions though…
EDIT: I guess Snipe Hunter might work for discarding shit…
I remember summoning my Thousand-Eyes Restrict once (before my friends and me knew it was banned). It was awesome. Except my friend kept on putting monsters face-down so I couldn’t get an attack boost…
I spent too much money on this when I was a child, so I’m trying to avoid spending any more on it. Zombie World does sound good though.
I do have a lot of other cards though so I’ll post my whole current deck for criticism

I know I have a little over 40 and I hear people tell just to run with 40, but I never get a reason as to why.
Why do you think it’s hard to run with the old skool?
40+ should be fine, as long as it’s not too much. I used to run a deck of at least 100 cards because I was worried that I would end up in a certain situation and not be prepared because I lacked a certain card…
