Icarus Attack should be the least of your worries against Blackwing Decks.
Well, just played in a little mini tourney against a Blackwing 09 Banlist user and I won, one round but, if it wasn’t for Icarus attack I wouldn’t of had much trouble.
There are going to be rounds where one card will happen to cause hell for you. There are times where Icarus Attack is gdlk, other times it just sits there doing nothing. It’s a good card when you have control of the game or have a lot of cards in hand to recover. In crunch time, it loses effectiveness.
I think the top 5 cards to watch out for when playing against Blackwings are:
1.Black Whirlwind
2.Gale
3.Shura
4.Blizzard
5.Delta Crow
Icarus Attack is a good card but its not as bad as it seems.
Man, whenever I get cash I will finally complete 3 decks I want to have.
My Vennominaga deck is near completion so, what’s next which will probably be my main deck is a Yubel deck.
Then, after I finish that, i’ll make a deck I made custom myself which, I labeled as “Dragon Flower” which is my Plant/Dragons deck.
Saying Icarus Attack is broken is like saying Offering to the Diety is unfair. Both cards leaves you at a neutral position and the only reason it would put you at an advantage is if the opponent over commits his field or makes big pushes without any good back up. You lose 1 card for the trap and 1 card for the monster in order to clear 2 cards your opponent has. It’s a 1-for-1 trade and takes skill to use effectively. Anyone can brain dead activate it but it could leave them in a positional disadvantage if they aren’t smart with its use.
Black Whirlwind is at 1 and with MST at 2 it’s hardly that big of an issue. It’s not like when it was at 2-3 and there getting +1-3 off of a Normal Summon. On top of that a lot of archetype decks have their own S/T removal card. Also, no competitve BW deck is running Delta Crow there are a lot of other cards to use then that. Start Side Decking or Main Decking 1-2 copies of Starlight Road against Black Wings because you know there going to be running Icarus at 2’s. In general Starlight Road is a must have in your Side Deck and almost a staple card in your main deck.
If you hate Blackwings with Icarus Attack then you’ll probably hate X-Sabers even more. Lose your S/T’s to Hyunlei, get lockdown with Naturia Synchros or lose your entire hand with the Faultroll loop. On top of that you have field swarming with hand replenishing with a rock solid defense.
There’s a difference though, Winged beast monsters are all about power and Blackwings really don’t need something like that going for them. Reptiles on the other hand aren’t all that great compared to them so it makes sense for them to have something.
As for skill involved, you select ANY 2 cards your opponent has and due to having a black wing deck you’re gonna pop em out like confetti anyways. Just saying, they need to make it out to at least limited.
Okay, you are MAJORLY overreacting. It is in NO WAY limit worth. Semi, sure maybe, HELL NO on 1 or less.
Maybe it’s this 09 Banlist game, who knows.
Well no fucking kidding, rating Icarus Attack against Blackwings at Full Power makes it seem broke, that should be obvious.
Winged-Beats aren’t about power at all. They have a variety of effects to them and you can’t compare a theme like Dragunities to a theme like Black Feathers. Black Feathers is sort of about power but the theme is about constant field presence.
Icarus Attack is hardly overpowered otherwise it would have been addressed in a ban list a long time ago. In the process of popping 2 cards you lose 2 cards yourself it’s a 1 for 1 trade and if your opponent flips a chainable spell/trap to reduce your advantage it back fires on you. The monster on the field might generate another advantage like if it was a face down Sangan. Your opponent flips Starlight Road or Solemn Judgment and you’re fucked. You lost 2 cards for nothing. You don’t just flip that card anytime you want. At tourney level play there’s timing involved with using any card and it’s about making reads on your opponent and knowing when to push and when to wait. It’s not as brain dead as you make it out to be.
You can download a free yugioh client like YVD or get something like BYOND where they host a yugioh game where you can create the deck you want without costs involved. There are plenty of other stupid decks out there that can make you far more frustrated that Black Feathers.

I want to see it but I don’t know if it’s getting any kind of release over here :/. I’ve also got 4 Beyond Time movie packs coming and I’ll probably be ordering more so I can make a malefic-skill drain deck 
I read one of the Malefic cards being Blue eyes White Dragon they sound awesome.
I held off on reading more then that cause I didn’t wanna spoil the movie, but kudos mayne hopefully they do show it where you’re at.

sadly no. yeah i got 3 sarc pretty easy i don’t really use them tho i think there to slow imo. im having a lot of trouble trying to get 2 more deep sea divas tho. where is the fucking trade system;/
