For help with the infinite. The first and second loops have potentially different timing depending on how far off you were on your innitial set up, after you pass those every other rep has the exact same timing so it gets much easier. I normally have these as outcomes of attempting the infinite
Drop the set up
Drop after the first DP
Drop after the second DP
Make it somewhere decent then just get too sloppy.
The best I’ve made it up to so far was 10 and with a decent starting combo before it I hit 800K gaugeless no assists.
What causes it to drop in the actual loop section more than anything else is fly cancelling the DP at the wrong height. The S timing and the DP timing are both more lenient as long as you’re in the right space. Make sure to fly cancel just as hit 3 is happening, 2 or 3 hits both work fine but you want to be at that exact height then S. ^.^
More findings, the best way to make sure you get the DP link is to make sure one of the hits of S either 2 or 3 normally is just before Morrigan hits the ground, the hit freeze holds the enemy in place for long enough that you get your DP more stably. ^.^
Morrigan TAC glitch question when she’s on point:
Is it just me, or does it not work after Shadow Blade M? I can do s.S, sj.H, qcf.H, fly, TAC up, dash, TAC down, and it works. But if I do s.S, sj.H, dp.M, fly, TAC up, dash, the dash never comes out. This isn’t just me, right?
Who would have ever thought this woman would have been super threat in this game. I love it,anyways I seen sum super cheap teach by a player called JJJ where he would tac exchange to Storm use Ice Storm when they start to tech roll then DHC into Morrigans Illusion while they are blocking all the ice chip fly in with her and call Felicia rolling buckler assist for the unblockable. Its so slimey it got my brain working to see what other characters I can do that with.
It has answers, his opponents just aren’t using them.
I remember pre-release, when these forums were filled with bad Morrigan players saying they were going to drop her because of the air dash nerf. Hahahaha.
Got 10 reps a couple of minutes ago. Hands hurt a bit though. Now I can’t wait for the “morrigan isn’t as good as people say she is/not top 7” players to go eat a big ass mouth full of salt. Shout-outs to chrisis for fueling morrigan with tech though. Nothing but respect for putting in the time to figure this out. Wish I had, but I’ve occupied by Chip setups with Vergil.
Everyone should contribute to the FGC in whatever way they can. I contributed the 2 gauge 1.25M Strider combo, vids of Viper zoning out Mag/missiles, Morrigan infinites, Firebrand neutral tools etc. I want the scene to develop as quickly as possible, I love Marvel 2, and it’s part of my duty as a Marvel 3 player to get Marvel 3 as close to Marvel 2’s level of tools as possible as quickly as possible.
Has anyone tried to crossover counter Morrigan’s Invincible Shadow Blade assist into the Infinite yet. I know it requires special conditions but its something to keep in mind.
The only way this would be possible is via Joe’s bomb assist. Shell Kick needs to have the opponent in launch state to have hard knockdown properties, and that’s not possible if they’re attacking.
You would need to launch install off the combo afterward, it’s possible, but that may be stressing it on HSD. Think it should be possible, but you will both need to launch install them and get them to the corner which could be hard.
I’m working on making that infinite stable at the moment. If I hit someone, I want them to die. First getting the corner version, then getting the carry down. ^.^
Though I just got here, don’t you guys already have something that does that? If not I’ll find one. <3
What are the answers, honestly I dont know other than invincible moves/alpha counter hard drive, cause that’s only available to a handful of the cast…also I’m working on a similar setup so I’d liek to know my opponent’s options
Thanks for the advice guys I’ll try it from 1/2 to 3/4 of the screen, Im pretty sure I saw a solo corner to corner with Morrigan but the Dmg was caca but it did set up nice for a soul drain loop with the right assist. I’ll test it after I finish DL my new BRAZZERS flicks B4 my wife comes home(Is it just me or are the intro skits in those scenes hilarious,it almost ruins the experience for me)
12 reps on Magneto, woo! Did the easier opener and I got up to 600K damage. If it had been off a more optimal starter it would have killed him gaugeless, this is going to be good. <3
So I’m playing around with this a little bit, and I’ve been trying a variant starter of LMHS, j.HxxH Soul FistxxFly, ADD, j.HxxH Soul FistxxUnfly, (land) j.MMHxxM Soul FistxxFly, j.HxxM Soul Fist, j.S. Apparently I’m missing the height window where I can land and link the M Shadowblade before the hard knockdown. The combo does 400k however, so I’d rather not give up on it if it’s possible to make it work. I’m still trying to tweak it, but if anyone out there with better execution/more Morrigan knowledge than me could take a look at it we might have a pretty damaging starter on our hands. Or they could let me know if I’m wasting my time with this one, lol.
