I have no problems doing that combo I just posted. The soul fist combos are difficult for me because I miss the fly and the air dash down rest of the combo.
ah just wondering do you use a controller or stick?
Stick. I was a pad player all of my life until about 2 years ago when I started playing stick.
is it really better to use shadowblade>finishing shower in a combo?
i’ve always used the :h: shadowblade because it’s virtually impossible to drop, but i noticed more rockets miss because the opponent gets popped up too much, hence less damage.
shadowblade is harder to cancel at the right time, and if you cancel too early, you get the same problem as the :h: shadowblade. should i go for the shadowblade from now on?
I remember I had the same problem a while ago, and after just buckling down and practicing for a bit I no longer drop the Shadowblade M into Finishing Shower. I say you should keep going for Shadowblade M. Just delay when you input Finishing Shower by a splitsecond after Shadowblade M.
There is a specific height and timing that makes Shadow Blade H vastly better than M, but M is easier to get more damage off, if not easier to cancel.
shadowblade :h: is for when the opponent is below morrigan, right? that never, and i do mean NEVER, happens with my combos lol. especially online, i end up having to mash st. :s: to ensure the launcher lands.
EDIT: btw, i’m still using shadowblade :h: for darkness illusion <3
Hey guys. I’m kinda new to this thread. Trying to pick up Morrigan. Can anyone help me out with BNB3? Everytime I do it midscreen, I cant seem to connect the jumping mh in the middle of the combo after the first unfly. They go too far away from her. Is there a timing to the h -> fireballs or something that I’m missing?
Yeah, H gives an amazing Shower set up if Morri is slightly above them when you start it.
Is there anyway to consistently get her to be above the opponent in a combo? I ask because I’m going to a tournament tomorrow, and I don’t have time to test it:/
i was just playing around with that, and it will work if i do st. :s: and start my air string as soon as possible. the vanilla guide said to let morrigan do a full super jump after launcher so all her hits will land.
Hm, I got two things that might help. In the video, you can see that there’s a slight delay before every ADD, that way you give a slight amount of time for the opponent to fall. Two, have you tried different types of soul fist? H hits them more up and less horizontally, while L hits them less upwards and more horizontally. You might be using the wrong soul fist. Hope this helps!
does any one have some optimal :l: shadowblade combos? whether it be shell kick>:l: shadowblade or :l: cr. :h: :l: shadowblade type starters. if i were to change my BnB starter, it would be with that. it combos pretty easily and does damage.
For soul fist spam does the L version of soul fist serve any purpose?
It just moves slower. You would just mix it up with the version for zoning purposes
What about in the air? Which version soul fist do I use? I been using the H version of soul fist.
if you mean astral spamming, you have a couple soul fist patterns:
+ :h: soul fist spamming has an irregular pattern that makes it harder for the opponent to jump out of the fireball barrage.
:l: + :h: spamming is more of a wall.
i personally go for + :h: spamming.
in the air, i use :l: soul fist, but you can use if you really want. it just travels faster, which isn’t always what you want.
Thanks guys
How practical is Morrigan’s TAC infinite? Corner only? Can it be done from any version of TAC?
ok i been messing with morrigan for a week now. i can fly cancel pretty well. my mid screen combo is c:m: c:h::f::h: jump:m::h:sf fly dash forward :h::h:sf unfly jump :h:delay:s: :s: . is ther a better mid screen combo and whats a easier shadow blade combo from this i never can get the dash to come out.
