As for the teleport shenanigans, I love doing random teleports with Strider when I play vs my brother, because my CRT is busted so we play on a laggy ass plasma screen (lol I read that in Doom’s voice) and it’s literally impossibly to react to.

I know that duh, but I mean my threads are pretty popular though.
I love and abuse it like no one’s business because it’s fun to do, (Plays Dormammu beware, beware, beware), and it really does mess with a lotta people’s heads, but anyone who knows most anything about ports is that even with an assist, they’re still very easy to grab (assuming they always do the same/similar mix-up of course). Fighting against people who like porting isn’t that big a deal either for me because aside from teleporting myself, my favorite thing to do is get a grab, so I’m practically begging for the other guy to try something.
I usually have Super Skrull out to deal with teleport teams. I’m focused on punishing the assist of they try to use it to cover their teleports. I think it can be a pretty safe tactic if pulled out once in a while though. I usually try to stay mobile and in the air to block if I know I’m fighting someone that can teleport.
Kinda sad I can’t punish derpy blind teleports with a throw now that everyone can tech throws anytime.

Teleports are so unsafe when people use them too much … people get predictable doing it from full screen all the time … So You make space on the screen by moving back and the average player will just teleport eventually, sometime Raw sometimes after a projectile… Average Dante’s do it fullscreen after throwing Missiles -___- you just hold up back Heavy as soon as I see them teleport. As for Average Virgils they do it raw cause they think its cool lol Hawkeye and any character with a fwd+H command attack can OS Grab them out out the Teleport … (Cause Average Virgils only go behind you so if you make space they shall teleport.) Wesker’s Teleport isn’t an Issue for me cause it doesn’t track … I found out that if you can bait a Vajra from Strider if you jump and block it when you land you can punish it, but if you are on the ground you can’t. Skrull I count as having an ATTACK TELEPORT that Scares the BullShyt outta me (knocked me out of Losers at NEC -___-) Don’t know how to deal with it… except stay in a corner so it can’t cross you up but he has the stupid air GIANT FIRE FIST CROSSUP GROUND BOUNCE MOVE TOO …but that is beside the point.
(Oh and Dormmamu don’t like fighting him much either… nothing to really say about him.)

Hulk should only get a teleport if he can cancel into it from gamma crush, a la Deadpool. And it gives him hyper armor for 15 seconds afterwards.
Loooool. Should be just like Wesker’s input too. Standing:h: xx :h: Teleport. Tracks like Dante’s right above and behind the opponent so you can use j.:h: to float a second like Dante does, then land and repeat. This will make UMVC3 more balanced imo.
would you rather have a game dominated by triangle jump tactics?

there was only one character that had legit teleport tactics in mvc2 and triangle jump tactics dominated the game for the most part.
there needs to be good balance between teleport, triangle jump and dive kick tactics. i dont agree with magnetos triangle jump nerfs in umvc3.
Only thing that bothers me about teleports is that they can no longer be punished with a throw due to the new system changes.
some people still don’t get the whole idea that you can’t punish teleports with grabs anymore because weaker players don’t know they can tech them. I’ve some teleports lose out to raw launcher’s but that still isn’t reliable.
I’m by no means an expert , but I think this game leans in favor of teleport tactics , they should be more punishable in some way. And I’m not really sure which is better tho
I would prob be fine with it if the game did a better job with stamina in relation to mobility. Characters with a lot of mobility options should have lower health , and arguably lower damage but I could live without that.

I have come to the conclusion that I get blown up by that. I need some indepth strategy to fuck that up. Anyone got a tip? I got nothing but jump back or raw super when they mess up, but that just isn’t… enough. At least not against spencer zip line.
I gotta hit the lab and record some shenanigans asap.
You can air grab Spencer out of his zipline. He’s also vunerable all the way across so you can smack him with something.
Can someone explain to me why teleports aren’t cheap? I think that what makes characters with several teleports so good it’s because they have several options of teleports and their teleports are instant. For instant, Vergil, along with his reach, priority, and instant teleports, gives me headaches, I think he’s harder to beat than Wesker–the new Logan that everyone is crying about. (PS: I don’t mention Phoenix because I think she was in a SS-tier category all alone, she was broken, and she deserves all of the nerfs she got. I like the character, but the character’s mechanics are broken in vanilla.)
I don’t mind Wesker’s damage, I just think that his teleport is what makes him. I think they should nerf teleports in general. Am wrong? If so how to minimize their effectiveness?
I’m not saying that, I’m saying how stupid/easy it is to make your assist safe that you are calling 24/7 and its not even invincible. Its braindead tactics like this that warrents the use of Invincible AAAs… of course we have none of those in this game…

Well they aren’t completely derp, dantes can only go in one direction and weskers only covers a particular distance, and they are both extremely punishable when done raw. Only issue I have his how hard it is to deal with when an opponent covers their teleport with like doom beam or something, thats when shit gets difficult to deal with, but Im not one to complain about shit thats in the game. Just gotta learn how to deal with it.
