All the sticks seem to have become a lot more expensive recently. Just a year ago you could get the limited edition all Sanwa Virtua Stick High Grade for half the price of a SF4 TE stick.
man i went to preorder a TE stick today… im really hoping that someone with a preorder decides not to get the stick hopefully since he wont have money or somethin so i can get it

I ordered mine Monday, and uh, ditto. Now I’m wondering if I should be in a hurry to pay off the rest of the preorder before it comes out, or just wait until March or something when the damn thing actually shows up…

^^ agreed LAME as fuck. i didnt know that these things were fucking limited edition… nnowhere on the pre-order slips or packaging did it say collectors edition or limited edition and i missed markman saying it was in limited supply… i didnt order one when i had the chance 'cause i didnt know whether i’d have a job at the end of this month. but my boss just told me today that we should be able to hold out till the summer so i was about to order 2, and then this bs happens.
why put all that energy into designing these extremely great sticks if not to mass market them on a supply and demand basis??? makes no sense to me. it’s not like capcom or madcatz are going to make any money from these things becoming rare unless they redistribute them somewhere down the line or there planning making another different runoff of “collectors edition” sticks that will be different kinda like what disney does with it’s dvd’s.
if this is the only run there ever going to produce, the only people that are going to make money off the fact that there collectors items will be the people who have them and resell them at higher cost.

Well, now that we know the TE sticks are discontinued, anyone know (from personal experience perhaps) how expensive it’d be to custom build a stick with Sanwa parts?
Iirc, the 80 dollar stick is made to mod just like the TE one. Just get a regular one and order sanwa to put in.
Usually GameCrazy’s in my area can reserve these, but were told to stop taking TE pre-orers on the 12th. Regular Fightsticks and pads can still be reserved, I belivee.

So I was at gamestop today buying some games and I decided to put some more money on my TE preorder. I asked how it works when they don’t get enough of an item they had for preorder and he told me that It goes back to a combination of who preordered first and who payed the most on it. So I Payed it off. :wgrin: Plus I’m pretty sure it was late November or early December when I put the 50 bucks on it.
