A+B Stungun travels less distance than B+C Stungun.
I wouldn’t say that. I’ve been in the lab alot with Alex and Tekkaman lately and there’s some good chemical there (no pun intended.)
There’s a lot of combo potential with Tekkaman’s assist. Basically, he can catch opponents with his rope off of Alex C Elbow wallbounce. You can do something like:
j.C 1A 1A 1B 1C 6C P
It’s a good launcher setup and you can juggle with it. I like to juggle with Boomerang Raid for 3 hits, then DHC into Laser Beam super. On Ryu, it does about 40%. Nice combo againist Mega Crush-happy players coming up on 2 bars. I’ve only scrapped the surface so far. I’m sure you can do crazy stuff with BBQ and Crossover Air Raid.
Yeah, you can’t usually combo into it otherwise.
I main Alex/Doronjo, and Doronjo’s assist grounds the opponent so it has worked out great in many situations.
Well, Alex has ridiculous damage without any supers, so anything that knocks him up should allow him to do Alex Loop (j.B…B, land, j.B…B, land) into an air combo for huge damage. Plus, you can also go into snapback shenanigans.
Quick question. Can Alex safely reset to powerbomb mid-air like Polymar and Ippatsuman can do with their supers?
For instance: …3c, j.abb, pause, powerbomb.
Or is it not guaranteed?

HUGE props to capcom in their creativity with that choice. As opposed to just throwing Zangief in their for the billionth time!
Alex himself is also pretty cool, he is interesting to play and his moves do nice damage.
If only he had a low that was useful, then he could get a hit.

Sorry if this is already known but I’ve spent about zero time with alex. I found out that if you combo into an assist that has multiple hits like chun li or polimar then you can charge up the unblockable 236 C. This helps alot with someone who keeps blocking your combos. I was putting it on people all night with him and polimar.

Yes. I usually do (j.C and/or 1A, 1B) 3c, sj.ABBC, pause 63214C
The j.C whiffs and you catch the opponent as they’re falling but before they can tech. The timing is very strict if you’re not in the corner since you can dive too far away from the opponent for the Power Bomb to connect.
I played around with the pausing a bit tonight.
I was able to pause after AAB, ABB, and AABB. I think as long as you touch even their foot with the grab it will register the powerbomb. Not sure if the damage resets though, I kind of neglected paying attention to that… back to practice mode.
If anyone uses Casshan, you can do:
j.:snkc:, :snkd:, j.:snka::snka:, j.:r::df::d::db::l::snka:(Power Bomb)
16.8k damage. You must call Casshan the instant your j.:snkc: hits. Don’t know if it’s safe though, haven’t tested it out in a match.
16.8 K is not a lot for Alex. You get more off j.C combo starter by simply launching and doing AABBCxxPowerbomb

1A , 1B, 1C -> 6C (Slash Elbow), D , J. Up and back, 236 C
You want to wait a split second before jumping up and back.
You can reset like that, (j.A,j.B,j.B,xx,powerbomb) timing to make it not combo but not miss is a bit of a bugger but it can be done. (This is coming in from a VAR not from a launcher if that changes anything.
