But this is a problem most consumers have when faced with change. People complained a lot about switching from tapes to CDs, from VSH to DVDs or from hand drawn sprites to 3D models…what xbox one is doing is nothing different then what the wii did with the introduction of motion controls. Back in the day people thought CGI cutscenes took away from the narrative of games cause it didnt allow the story to be told through the gameplay so bottom line is that while people are complaining about"used games and 1 month wait periods", in time people will accept that as normal functions of gaming just like people accept burning songs as a part of the music industry. This generation will have a hard time cause were used to the old ways, but the kids growing up now wont notice a thing and wont understand why its a big deal. We have to embrace and welcome the future especially in a industry that people complain a lot about due to lacking innovation or ingenuity. Besides the people complaining about the xbox one arent even people who buy games at full retail price or buy consoles on release…so why are people putting their 2 cents into shit when they ain’t even committed consumers to begin with.
Moving from VHS to DVD didn’t hurt me as a confumer, neither did 2D to 3D or cartridge to disk, shit changed but it wasn’t malicious, it was stuff changing to give us better games so that we would give the companies making them money in exchange for them.
This takes a big dick to gamers saying “Fuck you, you see this shit we want you to pay 50 quid for, you won’t own shit, WE will decide what is done with OUR disks and you will pay us for the privillage”.
*People called me “crazy” and “silly” for not purchasing games that publishers put online pass limitations on and urging others to do the same. Now look what’s happening. MS (and possibly Sony) are about to take away consumers having ownership rights when they purchase video games. The worst thing about all of this is that if consumers unwittingly buy the XBone (or PS4 if it has the same sort of drm/digital ownership) this could spell the harbinger of change. Other mediums will look to the $70 billion games industry as they take away consumers “right of first sale” by delivering digital content by physical means (since physical game discs will be looked as a storage for the digital content) and will try copying that strategy.
If anybody dislike the idea of things changing like this then they need to educate their fellow consumers to stand up for their rights and vote with their wallets by not purchasing consoles that try to screw us over.

So yea, having to keep your system connected is real dumb. When I don’t use something, I put it away. If I only use my gaming PC on weekends, that means it won’t be connected to any power source nor network outside of the weekend.
“You know, kid, back then we could play videogames without having to report to Microsoft every day about it. We could also give our games to friends, without purchasing a new activation code, I mean! And we also played Street Fighter with – I shit you not – a joystick and buttons, way before the series became a Kinect 4 Exclusive!”
The point being that change scares people and whenever people try to introduce innovation the results are always the same.
The only people who have a issue with change are those weighed down by pointless tradition to the point that they can’t embrace progress…just look at how well that worked out for nintendo.
No, you’re just too dumb to be able to analyze the changes.
I like how you ignored the points completely instead of trying to come up with a witty remark, showing that you’re not a troll but just another idiot.
You remind me of an idiot we fired at work because he tried to be “innovative” at work and did some damage after he was warned to stop being a dumb fuck.
EV000 is so blind that he can’t see his propaganda isn’t working. Dude is just spamming SRK at this point and will probably be banned soon.
Where is your supervisor? Your gonna have to do a better job than this if you wanna get paid well. I would like someone else to be assigned here. Preferably someone less stupid
