Believe it or not…hearing something is different then seeing it.
It’s quite possible that all the bad PR won’t be as bad the second people actually play the thing and are what games it has to offer. People had the same reaction to motion controls or "blood"in gaming and look at how those things turned out.
No one is saying these implementations aren’t controversial but in the interest of fairness can’t we at least wait to see what the console has to offer before coming to a verdict. You guys all have your pitch forks and torches without giving the suspect a fair trial…wait ill E3 before making a decision.
You know what buddy you can take one for the team on this. You can have your optimism and go buy the Xbone. When you realize that you don’t actually own any of your games and that you paid a ton of money for something that turns into a brick without internet, well all be here waiting to laugh at you for it. Since apparently hearing facts from the source isn’t good enough for you. Go ahead. Buy it and see for yourself.
A few mistakes? The Xbox One has been NOTHING but mistakes. Unless Microsoft wants to change their mind suddenly, they’re done from my POV and the POV of many others. There’s only one thing they can do to fix that and they won’t so that’s a wrap there.
And I’m saying, as of RIGHT NOW, I’m seeing nothing that would make me buy a PS4. I’m not saying that the possibility doesn’t exist, but even if it does I have no reason to go out of my way to buy one.
Console gaming, and gaming in general isn’t my life. If it goes to shit, I have no fucking obligation to continue doing so. I have no reason to support Microsoft, as of now I have no reason to support Sony completely. But at least Sony has opportunities to change my mind or impress me. At the same time, they have just as many opportunities to shit the bed like Microsoft. But again, I have no obligation to get a next generation system. I waited a year before getting a PS2 and I only got my 360 as a random present from my brother. Obviously, I have no issue with going without next gen shit for a good amount of time.
Well you see this is the problem, I’m coming here as a legitimate fan of gaming who has grown up with the classics. I’ve experience terrible consoles in the past and I can tell you right now, that Xbox one is no different then the GameCube or N64 in terms of"bad ideas"that are anti-consumer. When Nintendo didn’t want to embrace the CD format people called it their early grave, when gamecube didn’t want to embrace online gaming or any demographic over 10 people said it would be onselete by the time the PS2 cycle was over.
Point is this, Xbox one has a lot of things people don’t like but if a company as terrible as Nintendo can bounce back, or if Sony could bounce back after the annoucbement of PS3 then so can the xbox one. However recovery is a process so until we SEE E3 we can’t truly have a informed opinion…this is a point event angry joe made.
The problem here is that you guys are typical of most online communities, you jump at the latest trend and follow it because it’s popular. How about having some independence from the herd and look at things objectively away from the opinions of forum drones or gaming"journalist". This isn’t me trying to sell anything mind you, this is just me having some common fucking sense and saying we should I all wait till E3 before having a true opinion.

I’m making this clear, I don’t need fucking journalists or anything telling me shit. It’s quite simple. Microsoft could do everything else right. They could have great games, they could have the best developers, they could be cheap as sin. But as long as the Online DRM exists, which is coming from THEM, no other source, I have no interest in their product. I don’t care if it’s “anti-consumer”, it’s anti-me.

I follow what I know that will benefit me when getting something like a game console. I read and see from Microsoft at what they are trying to do and I already made up my mind that the system is not for me. What is there to be surprise about the Xbox One that already been confirm? You can wait for E3 to form your opinion but Microsoft already confirm their intention about what the Xbox One is going to be for gamers at their earlier press conference. The games is not going to make up for the bad PR they got because they trying to force shit down gamers throat. The negative seem to out weight the positive of the Xbox One in my case.

Ok for what its worth I got a N64 in 1999 when i was 12 even tho i didn’t have alot of games I had access to alot of games because i had many friends who lived within 20min walk from me to trade/borrow with and I lived 10min walk from 2 big video stores. Cus of the lack of 3rd party support, game droughts for N64 and the fact that one summer me and a friend swapped systems my n64 for his PSX for 2 months I was like F this im never buying a Nintendo console.
In elementary school honestly 95% of my friends who had a console had a nintendo console, in high school literally zero. What has Nintendo bounced back to the fucking Wii U LOLLOLOL.
Sony bounced back from the PS3 early days with a price drop.
