If Sony decides to take a completely different route and allow used game sales to flow freely, they should maybe buy/partner with Gamefly. I imagine it’d be good publicity for both.
I fear/hope videogames might end up like music and the whole industry will have to crumble before it can basically start from scratch and create an entirely new model. If Sony fucks this up, gaming could be in real trouble.

I think it would be in extremely poor taste for Sony to have made the jokes/tweets etc. that they’ve made since the noDRM twitter movement if they were just going to follow Microsoft off the cliff. If Sony also pulls this after the things they’ve said, it almost makes them worse.
The dumbest part about all this is that it will ultimately hurt game sales. Consumers will not take a chance if they can’t try out games. Maybe if there are demos for every single game ever released…but there’s the problem of selling games to use for the purchase of new games. I’ve done that MORE than a few times. Selling used games are a part of the fucking game economy. Extremely short sighted thinking.

I don’t know why waiting for E3 would make the Xbox One look any better. Microsoft already announce what their intention are for the Xbox One and I don’t know how they are going to change the inform gamers that already made up their minds.
