Dealbreaker would be if Kinect is bundled in (if that’s what the ad means by “compatible”), thereby raising the price.
I almost wish they would have kept the casing the same size and made the damn power brick internal. Or at the very least, I hope they fix the cable proportions, so that the power brick can actually be hidden away somewhere.
It doesn’t really look much smaller all in all, though. Then again, I guess I’ve seen most people refer to it as a “redesign” and not a “Slim”.

EDIT: I remember reading that Kinect will be bundled with it, hopefully we can still get the slim without Kinect at some point.
I REALLY hope Microsoft has more to offer with Natal (now known as Kinect) then just quick casual cash ins meant to tap into the Wii market.

Oh well, I can either hope for one of two things come 11/11 (when my oldest 360 goes out of warranty), that there’ll still be tons of fat 360s readily available at retail, or the Slim will have had a significant price drop by then. I guess I could just snag a $150 Arcade now, but I’d rather not if I have a still-working console. It was a peace-of-mind kinda thing.

lol no seriously, I’m just way to used to the white colored 360 (I never liked the look of the elite neither). I hope they are replacing the existing Arcade model with one based on the new design once the current stock runs dry. I Wonder why none of the sites that reported a “first look” feature of the slim model haven’t tried the D-pad just to see if MS improved on it.
I picked up shadow complex but so far not really impressed with it. One thing I don’t get is that I cleared out an area and came back to find that all of the enemies and secret vents were restored. I can understand enemies, but the vent covers and whatnot made no sense. Was that some sort of glitch?

I realize it’s apparently the cool thing to hate all things related to Kinect immediately but the Star Wars game looks potentially fun to me. I’d most likely get it just for that.
…then again, how could anything SW-related top The Force Unleashed 2?! Of course, today’s gamers probably say that looks “boring” too, because everything is boring to them. Whatever, their taste generally sucks anyway. When did it become more fun to hate things than to let go and allow yourself just a little bit of fun in life? Eh that’s heading into a rant for another day.
“Limbo” has such an interesting, look. It’s like a child’s nightmare presented in a simplified, “classy”, “high-art” visual style. I’m absolutely loving what I see so far with that.
Speaking of Limbo, I think I’ll be buying all five of the Summer of Arcade games this year. I hope they have another point bonus this year too.
