This is how i feel, there are a a few games i’d get to play with my girl and fam but for the most part i just want it for other stuff.

I have to tell you, Kinect is going to open up a lot of doors past this initial casual phase. Or at least I hope so… the technology is already proving way too powerful to not use in really interesting ways. Imagine in ME3 for example, instead of having you choose a dialogue option, the Kinect Camera takes a look at your picture, sees your emotional response and does the appropriate response for you??? That’s POSSIBLE!
Also, on the casual front, I think it could be a great thing. I could see playing something like Kinectimals with my 2 year old daughter, and my wife would absolutly love the Ubisoft Fitness game they demoed. I think Kinect could be a great way to get kids and older people into gaming and could help with another problem in the US which is getting kids to do exercize, could help child obesity a little bit…
Plus, voice recognition commands on my XBOX is just going to impress the hell out of everyone…
I think this E3 for Microsoft was about demonstrating their long term vision for the 360 as the entertainment hub of the house. Its not just about games, its about TV (ESPN on Demand??? Watching OSU lose over and over was pretty awesome…Sky in England), Movies (Zune), Music (Zune and Last.FM), Social Media (Facebook, Twitter)… If they could get ESPN like they did… who’s next? The entire ABC family of networks?
Somebody that also sees the true vision of what we’re looking at here.

There is a lot of potential behind Kinect but I haven’t seen anything intriguing so far. I think the best implementation would be the controller + Kinect so you could actually play Forza decently (with a wheel if you have one) and get the head tracking working. There is only so much you can do without a controller, the dancing game looks pretty tight but it isn’t for me because I play shit on my own. That Star Wars game looks alright too but it looks like Fruit Ninja on a big screen really. Something like Force Unleashed 2 with Kinect in mind would be bananas.
Also, I don’t think the camera is good enough to read faces, that Milo thing from last year was fake. The camera is just your average webcam 640x480.

I don’t know, did you see the Kinectimals demo? There was some responsiveness there. I have to believe there’s going to be some developers who are going to use this technology in really cool ways… Bioware, EA, Epic, whoever… they’ll find ways to use it and make it apart of EVERYBODY’s gaming experience… I’m hyped… and I showed my daughter the Kinectimals demo… she wants a pet tiger now…

Which is the better Mega Man? I’ve heard 9 was better but it looks like 10 has a lot more value. Also which one has the better music?
