Uhg god i wish I still had my 360. So many good games on sale.
I saw this on Joystiq, I think I might get Banjo Tooie.
I am gonna Crystal Defenders and hrm, gonna have to play a few of those. Although I do own half of the list already.
I guess I’m finally playing Braid
Bomberman Live, Castle Crashers, N+ and Geometry Wars 2 are totally worth it at that price.
Avoid Zombie Apocalypse, it’s awful.
I tried the demo. Didn’t like it. Either A) It didn’t age well or B) Gameloft let something get lost in translation. The interaction with everything doesn’t feel as solid. Like Jim is slightly floating above the ground. It just doesn’t feel right. I’ll have to Rom and Emu it up to double check.
I would have much prefered a 2.5D sequel or ports of Jim 1 & 2.
yeah folks…get on the Geometry Wars 2. 400 points is a steal. I still don’t get why that one isn’t quite as popular as part 1, when it was superior in nearly every way.
…and come on, at least give Zombie Apocalypse a shot. I’m not sure why someone who would like a dual-stick shooter wouldn’t also enjoy ZA. It’s like Geometry Wars with Zombies mixed in there…delicious.
sidenote—Arcade Contra is ass. I had so much more fun with the NES version back in the day…it was the first time I remember a home console version of a game being better and more fun. There’s something about the control that really gets to me. I remember NES Contra just felt like you had more accurate control over your character’s movements, and thus it was easier to stay alive and look cool while killing everything…which is always a crucial aspect of an action game.
*and yeah, I foolishly bought that shit. I still regret it even now…and that purchase was years ago. I made the mistake of not getting the trial first…just blindly jumping in on the “it’s Contra! OF COURSE it’s awesome!” tip. Terrible mistake.
*Earthworm Jim HD— I had to get it immediately. I love that game so much. This was a surprise though… I had no idea it was even coming to Live Arcade until someone mentioned it either here or in some other thread a few days ago.
Pacman C.E.'s leaderboards were apparently reset. I noticed my high score, along with all friends who had the game…not on there anymore. So of course I had to play that quite a bit again today and get back on the boards. It’s been quite awhile since I played that. I forgot how Extra Stage 1 seems to be the most difficult board, since everything is a straight “hallway” design, so it’s far easier to get trapped by the ghosts.
(e.g.
---------------------------- It looks like that, as opposed to the usual “maze design” of all other Pacman game stages.)
I like the way Hard Corps Uprising is looking to play. It reminds me more of the great…
ALIEN SOLDIER
SET THAT 68000 HEART ON FIRE
BURRRRRN PHOENIX BURN
TREASURE TREASURE TREASURE
EPSILON-EAGLE WIN
Xi-TIGER LOSE
Sorry. But yeah I can see why they had to drop the Contra name. The double jumping, running, and dashing in the air, along with the reflecting of effing slow as bullets and a health bar is so far from contra lol. It’s defintely just a heavily inspired action game. Which is all fine and dandy. Gives me hope for a Strider game that has the game play of Strider 2 within the framework of Strider NES.
I can’t believe I’m just now finding about about Comic Jumper. This game looks insane.

Anyone going to be on TF WFC tonight?
The 360 Slim has been confirmed.

Originally spotted on an Italian site, since removed.
Somebody captured it and put it .
It’s now live on this website, atdmt, which is Microsoft’s advertising.
Natal is now known as Kinect, confirmed here.
Well there it is. It looks like they managed to destroy Joy Ride by “Nataling” or rather “Kinectifying” it. I didn’t have much faith in in that game anyway though. With Modnation, nothing else in the kart-racing genre really matters that much anymore.
This shouldn’t really be a surprise though… the “super-casualness” factor is exactly what MS was aiming for with Kinect, and there ya go.
oooh, now I must check out the Joy Ride forums over at gfaqs…I know a lot of the potential fans must be pissed. The reactions are going to be priceless. I love seeing fan disappointment…it’s very entertaining to me for some reason. Earlier today, I was checking the Gran Turismo 5 board specifically for hatred and resentment, since that game is the new Duke Nukem Forever. Shit is hilarious.
XBOX 360 Thread. First page FAQ coming soon.
Finally going to cop Trials HD.
Regarding the Slim news, I hope there is a white version and MS better take this as a chance to fix that sad excuse of a D-Pad they have right now and I would gladly upgrade my old model to a slim one, RROD or not!
