my xbox got the E74 error just a few days ago… can i fix this by myself or do i have to send it in to microsoft? or should i just buy a new one all together… ?
If its still under warrenty, send it back to them and they will fix it. It will be 2-3 weeks before you get it back though.

I think it shows your console date, if its within 3 years you will be able to send it back in. Don’t be fooled by the red light saying “out of warranty”.
The 360 I got red ringed last week and it was made in 06, so I’m screwed with the warranty. Are there good tutorials to fix the 3 red lights on your own? Youtube has too many 360 fixing kit advertisements for it to be reliable.

Just got an elite, 60gb hdd, two wireless controllers, wireless mic, and two games for $100. And no it wasn’t stolen. What are some of the exclusive dlc arcade games that I should look into. Any genre, it doesn’t matter. I’m pretty much up to date on their available disc based games (I’ve been a ps3 guy and I know most games are cross platform and the rest are pretty much in plain sight) but it’s the dlc I’ve got no idea about. I was browsing some of the available games and there are just so many. Any help, suggestions, recommendations would be appreciated.

i had some time and checked the faq and was ABOUT to request an online repair but my shit says OUT OF WARRANTY. wtf? the faq says all 360’s get a free 3 year warranty for E74 and RROD fuck ups. if also says if you want to dispute a faulty out of warranty claim i might have to provide the original purchase recieipt. (why the fuck would i still have that) but the back of my 360 says the manufacturers date (MFR) is something like 2007 - 10 - 24. how the fuck can my shit be out of a 3 YEAR WARRANTY when it hasnt even been made for 3 years yet? (unless my math is wrong lol)

Ditto, I honestly just could not keep up. Everyone that still plays are people that have been playing since the game came out in arcades, hell half of those people never even OWNED A 360 BEFORE VIRTUAL-ON CAME OUT and still have not played a single other game aside form VO. That is dedication.
Samething happened to me last month, they showed the Red light saying its out of warranty, but I went ahead and still put in the claim knowing about the 3 year warranty. You will be straight with the 07 date though,.
