how do you do a siesmo followed by a snap back ?
how do you do a siesmo followed by a hard thundernuckle?
Both tiger kneed
so are you saying do a tiger knee motion for the siesmo followed by a tiger knee motion for the snap back and likewise for the thunderknucle?
Do a regular seismo and tiger knee the move you wanna cancel it into. Basically like rapid seismos but with a different move.
ugh, rapid seismo on p1 side hurts my arm so bad -__- moving my entire shoulder, and i can barely do it on p2 side. havent really developped that motion there. or atleast, not at that speed.
P2 side is hardddddd!
I can only Rapid Seismo from the p2 side if I alter my grip lol. Though, I tend to alter my grip to play Viper anyway (unless I don’t have time). I normally hold the stick in-between my middle and ring finger, but playing Viper I typically do best using my pinky and ring finger.
… Unfortunately I can’t SJC or FADC for shit when I play that way lol.

how does marlinpie do the quick double over head with the light and then followed by a quick burn kick (which burn kick is he using?)
it’s light air bk. you have to make sure you actually do a superjump addf j.L to get the superjump properties on the light bk too, otherweise you won’t be able to follow up.
hey guys, been grinding it out with viper for a couple days now trying to get the fundamentals down. although i have a few questions i need some clearing up on…
- for vipers seismic hammer into box dash combo…im unsure about the specifics of its execution.
i have been tigerkneeing the seismic hammer as follows:
5239+L, viper jump cancels, neutral the stick, ADF, H, S, etc
i have been wondering if im doing it wrong or at least inefficiently as ive found that the following methods have also worked on random occassions.
2) 523+L, 28 (super jump), neutral the stick, ADF, H, S, etc
3) 523+L, 9, viper jump cancels, neutral the stick, ADF, H, S, etc ( essentially the same as method 1 but the L is hit as soon as the stick is at 3)
any help or tips would be super!
I use the second method you stated. Super jumping allows you to air dash sooner after you leave the ground, but just make sure you delay the jump. What I mean is that after you input seismo, wait a little, then press down then up. Essentially, the time where you press up for the super jump is about the same time when the seismo pillar appears. Hope this helps.
This thread is great, it’s my second day of practicing rapid seismo and I can get to about 3 now semi-consistently, I think it gets easier after the initial one. The inputs listed on here have helped me a lot.
Apologies for the late response but lifes been a bit hectic atm…exam period for me and all. Nevertheless, I must thank you for the advice! I think the main issue preventing me from getting consistent with the seismo SJC was the fact that I “wasn’t” delaying the superjump at all. I was doing it thinking ‘bash it out as fast as you can’ but especially after the tip you mentioned about keeping an eye on the seismo pillar, i find myself more and more comfortable each day getting it down.
+1 on a great thread. Keep up the good work guys
so I figured out some new viper fadc tech… Well, not really new but makes fadc’ing really easy mode, you can even use this tech to back dash plink style pretty quick
how to do it: seismo, s.j cancel, double tap L,M,S… What it does is it option selects, focus attack than it instantly dashes… No more risking a xfc or anything, also you can just hold back and mash 2 attack buttons + S for easy back plink dashing
Good shit, Drew. Already in muscle memory.
You can plink+focus dash by hitting LS/MH over and over. Not sure how practical or even useful it is though.
Are there any tricks/tips to doing her stair case combos? Starting off of feint canceled H TK, from there I do j. H, H BK xx feint, H, S, H BK xx feint, and then I drop the combo. I haven’t been able to hit that last H. I’m pretty sure I just need better timing but I was wondering if there’s anything peculiar I need to do, e.g. use different strength BKs, delays somewhere, etc.
try using light BK, and make sure you’re super jumping!
Is it possible to do this on pad? (Or is there an alternative for pad players?)
I guess you can macro it? I’ve never tried it on pad
