Woo Hoo Naomi & Atomiswave Emulation in Progress!

Thats what I was wondering, when are they gonna port mvc2 to fba?

I’m having some problems trying to get cvS2 running so I followed the instructions hellfromabove mentioned. Though I get some error message when I convert the .bin to test.lst. Another thing for me, the naomi intro doesn’t show fully just shows teh orange O in NAOMI and ther rest is black. I get that error 01 also but I’m not sure why it doesn’t load the test.lst file. If anyone can help out that would be great.

I got it working! It was a matter of having the wrong bios in there.

Sound emulation is TERRIBLE though. :stuck_out_tongue:

Incase you guys are looking for some more snapshots of Naomi games running …

I’ve been posting them in the other thread for the nullDC release like a maniac.

OR just

I’m going to try to get Virtua Fighter 4 running tonight, if I can. It’s going to probably take me a few hours though.
***LATER EDIT: I don’t know what the hell I was thinking. VF4 is naomi2 … we got a long ways wait until naomi2 games are also emulated. ***

Street Fighter Zero 3 Upper seems to have an issue with coin inputs, so you can’t play the game, but it’s emulatable.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Federation VS Zeon DX gives me a “Caution 51: Game assignments are incorrect. Set correctly in system assignments of test mode.” from the Naomi Bios. I tried going into the test menu (F2, F3, F4, F5) and messed around with the system assignments, but nothing would work.

I can’t play CVS2 - i can’t coin or start. :frowning:

Weird… coin should be “5” on your keyboard and “1” should be start.

K I figured out the naomi logo issue I guess my directx wasn’t updated. I’m getting a “cant open” error when I try converting the track03.bin to test.lst. Anyone have an idea why it’s doing that?

Nulldc running SFZ3 Upper

It runs but its unplayable since I cant get the controls to work and cant get into the service menu either.

What the heck does this mean?

It’s constantly scrolling in the DOS window running behind NullDC(NAOMI). I know something is up, but I don’t know what. I should also mention, i’ve yet to get to the NAOMI boot up screen…

One question, are you running this on a laptop? Also, what OS are you running?

Okay, make sure that track03.bin is extracted and make sure it is in the same folder as gdrom2rom. Also, I made the mistake of addressing track03.bin as track03.iso when trying to decrypt it the first time. That is another reason why it says “Can’t Open”. Hope that helps.

There is one bios file in the whole bunch that actually gives that error and you are using it :looney:.

The BEST bios file to use from the naomi.zip file is EPR-21576D. Use this one instead. It has the best computability.

Hope that helps all you guys.

Wait so I have to say .bin instead of .iso or do I have to change the track03.bin to track03.iso? Both files are the same folder but I’m still getting the error .

The file extension should not be changed. Just extract it and go to command prompt and put this in:

gdrom2rom track03.bin 2F3226165B9E407C test test

That should be it. It should start decrypting from there and give you a new rom file.

Thanks it works now :woot: CvS2 runs smooth for me. Now I just need to figure out how to get my stick to work with the emu.

Yes, a laptop with USB keyboard. I’ve tried the USB keyboard and the laptop keyboard. Running Vista 32.

Okay, must either be because you have a laptop (shouldn’t be) or because you are running Vista. I am running Vista on my laptop and have the same problem. I will tell the main coder about it when he comes back online and hopefully we can get an updated version soon.

Anyone know what program I can use to get my stick working with the emu?

Try Xpadder.

cvs2 runs perfect for me

I uploaded two YouTube videos last night of Naomi emulation with nullDC v1.0.3:

Capcom vs SNK Millenium Fight 2000 Pro:

Notes: Watch the high quality versions if you can by clicking on the YouTube URL’s, since the video is much better. Also, the first few seconds may appear glitchy only because of YouTube video compression, which also makes the gameplay speed appear slower than it truly is.

LoL, trust me to go and use the ONLY bios file that gives that error…Everything appears to be working great now though, thanks so much :woot:
