Sorry if this looks like “Whoa random guy jumps in!”
Meh, name’s Amir Mousaly, I’m also a fellow Windsor fighting game fan. There’s probably one person here who knows me, not sure the username, but I was referred to here by him.
I’m probably not TOO hardcore, but I do really like playing mostly Super Street Fighter IV, BlazBlue - Calamity Trigger, Marvel VS CAPCOM 3, Tekken 6 and a little bit of HDR in terms of PS3-fighters. I also play TvC UAS.
Number is: 519 980 7625
My mains for these games are:
SSF4 - Guy, Hakan, Ryu
MvC3 - Spencer, Felicia, Gouki
BBCT - Bang
T6 - Xiaoyu, Lee
SSFIITHDR: Ryu, Fei Long
TvC: Batsu & Rock Volnutt, Saki & Casshern
To be honest, I don’t know why I’m posting all this. Something gets me the feeling that I’m doing something wrong… XD
No harm done, it’s all good. I’m not sure who this guy is, so I really can’t be offended by it. Keep your detective badge, you might need it again someday. Never hurts to have a few sleuths on the case.
What is up saito ? I am sure I have met you before, cool to know your in Windsor ! I will add you on psn when I get home definitely want to play you in marvel. Believe it or not most of us have been hammering down on MVC3 alot, I myself pretty much dropped 4 for the time being and am focused only on MVC3. Now that I finally graduated from school I will be putting even more focus into the game.
I would defintely like to play/practice with you as a local training partner is always good.
As for razor I dunno if u play ps3 but I would like to come chill with you all at dems if you decide to throw down in some MVC3. It is great that new players are becoming interested and perhaps if more pop up and a few came back to windsor kady/joe we could throw down in some mvc3 tournys somehow if we found a new venue to play. I would totally be down for a mvc3 tourny sometime, scince the gap between most players skill levels are very small. Sadly in 4 it seems dems widened the gap too much and most dropped out of our scene to bother any more.
That and some of our EGO’s are fucking out of this world (Yes I am one of them =/) though we have been improving alot on that aspect, so hopefully if more popup a tourny will happen if anyone can make it happen its Dems.
Very good post ray, looks like youll be getting a lot better pretty soon if you ask me.
Also, just a heads up, I’d love to meet all you new guys but I do have MRSA and would not recommend anyone see me until it’s gone(they didn’t have room in the hospital for me in isolation).
It’s not really that weeaboo-ish. Especially in regards to Akuma/Gouki, IMO it makes a bit more sense in regards to “the trio” of Gouken, Gouki and Goutetsu. “Akuma” seems to stick out incorrectly.
GG’s tonight saito ! 8-3 for me on this one. Your pretty solid glad to have you as a training partner, you even took out my main team once ! Have you experienced a team like mine ? at times you seemed a little lost lol. Hopefully well improve while playing one another, I look forward to playing you again !
I see well thx =] yeah I find my main team to be awesome. On the other hand I don’t really have anyone else I play with, I need to basically make a secondary team to deal with others tactics.
Oh noes, old shit from 3-4 years ago. Everybody does stupid shit during their life.
Hell, I doubt you’re even who you’re claiming you are. If you’re gonna try and act like somebody, at least get the username spelling right.
For one, the person you’re trying to act like, would never know who Uber_johnson is, nor would he care. You can come out of hiding and stalking me like a bitch, Geoff.
I emailed Dave regarding this, but figured I could post it here too. Ultimately, I think it would be cool if we started up a consistent fight night or tournament structure around Windsor. Does anyone have the necessary equipment to stream events? Is anyone interested in doing such a thing? Personally, I’d be looking to get involved as a co-co-ordinator (not to be confused with cocoa) and commentator for said events. Maybe this is thinking too big at the moment, but it’s basically where I want things to head eventually. I’m looking to get information overall on:
-the cost of renting a venue to host a tournament
-the cost of streaming an event (in terms of equipment, set-up, etc)
-the amount of total interest from surrounding areas that we can draw from to get attendees.
Anyway, this is all just preliminary stuff, and it’s not like I expect getting things up and running tomorrow. If we can get a small group together to start planning/organizing/budgetting such an event, it will become that much closer to happening. Obviously, the first thing we need to do is get together and have some fun fighting. When I have some free time to head up to windsor and do so, I’ll definitely let Dave know, and also post something here.
I did it for the better half of 2 years. It won’t work. Nobody’s willing to pay money, half the people don’t drive, and we’d have to find a new venue(not even a problem really, I know countless places that would take us in for free).
You’re trying to do something that we did in the past and that doesn’t work out. There’s at most 3 or 4 people who would show on a regular basis. If I were you I’d let that go.
And yes I have 4 playable screens(CRTs or EVO monitors), a ps3, 2 360s, games for both(BB, marvel, 4, hdr), sticks, and streaming equipment. It doesn’t work out around here though.
Keep in mind, when I did it there were 3 people giving rides regularly(myself, janko, and avarice). Fight nights just don’t work around here. Fuck, I even provided free beer and people still didn’t come.
Well then let’s go with the other part of Andrew’s post. Work on getting regulars together for fun and good times. Start to build a community from there. Worst case scenario, a small group get together regularly for good times and we all learn shit.
#1 no one cares about Windsor and feel we are inferior to every other Canadian fighting game scene for some egotistical reason. T.O came down here once and almost got taken out by UJ odds are the only way we play them again is to go to T.O. No one will watch the stream so its pointless. But as far as getting a new Venue if enough ppl are interested and we play some tournys for mvc3 im sure ppl will be down.
Another huge gap is the fact that players here emo over ps3/360 issues and refuse to play on the other console ps3 has frame issues and 360 has the most useless piece of shit pad in the universe and the person who created it should be shot and pissed on. So basically I cant play 360 without some bs ps2 pad and some stupid converter. Odds are im not getting that anytime soon so assuming everyone would clammer for 360 other than me for the most part I would obviously not really care to play in the tournament for reasons above. So between no venue, not enough ppl interested yet… arguing about the system being run in the tournament and London or surrounding areas not willing to come out to play it makes it very hard to have a decent tournament scene around here. Those are pretty much 90% of the kinks in what you would have to solve in order to make things happen when it comes to running tournaments in Windsor again
