Yep, it’s true. I never expected to get this into a fighting game, but somehow MvC3 pulled me in. I suck, but I’ve really started to take a liking to watching streams and wouldn’t mind getting destroyed at a live tournament. What’s a popular game you guys play around here? Or where is the closest action? Any Marvel stuff happening yet, or does everyone just think the game is broken and hate it?
I think Super Street Fighter 4 is still the main game, but I know there’s been come MvC3 happening too. There’s not so much in the way of tournaments or anything, but Dems has casuals at his place from time to time and it’s fun.

I’m focusing all my energy on Marvel right now, and as far as I know Darren was getting into it pretty seriously too, but I dunno how much that Sentinel nerf messed with him =p.
Actually correction - I’m focusing all of my energy on finishing school and dieting right now, with whatever reserves I have left over going to Marvel >.>
The nerf is so stupid. Seriously.
But I’d be down for coming to learn some more about the game. I can do combos, but it’s the more abstract crap like using assists well that I’ll need some help with.
The nerf didn’t really do anything to Sentinel other than take away 30% of his health. Yes the health subtraction was big and notable, but it didn’t do a damn thing to Sentinel Level 3 X-Factor damage/speed. Taking out the glitches and Akuma infinite was a good idea, but nerfing Sentinel didn’t make sense. I use the big stupid machine, sure, but his health hardly affects what he can do in terms of pure damage. His hyper armor kick is deadly, and his 220% damage as a level 3 is insane. I felt they should have nerfed X-Factor and things would’ve been fine. Level 1 and 2 X-Factor fine, but level 3 is insanity.
If you can say we have a main game, it’d definitely be marvel. In reality, nobody really plays here. You’re always welcome to come by with me and av and play some time(though we usually do like 8h sessions lol). Other than that, you’re gonna have to be hitting anything past london(more or less TO). Also, detroit doesn’t really have a scene either so i wouldn’t bank on that.
