Details on the Chronicles: The Convergence convention down here in Wichita:

I found a schedule of events and so far the only fighting games I see on the list are for Street Fighter 4, Guilty Gear Accent Core, and Smash Bros. Brawl. No word on King of Fighters XII or BlazBlue. Since it’s a little over a week away, I’m guessing this is the final version.

(I’d like to do another random fighting game setup like last year at another anime convention, but it probably won’t happen lol)

No clue on entry fees, attendants, and prizes, so if you’re itching to win a tournament here for SF4…the spot’s open :rofl:. So far no one’s been able to take the crown from us yet in SF lol!

Anybody interested in coming / helping out?

i think KC misses the point, why combine their 5 players and no hype…with our 30-50 entrants and MAD hype. hehe
if you guys ever get a chance i would reccomend rolling out to aerial rave, im not being cocky when i say they are not comparable.

and yeah brad and chris still play t5dr, brad still mopping the floor with everyone.
cant wait for T6, with SF4/BB/T6 all at the same tourny…omg we gonna blow the roof off the place.

But yeah, i think they should stay bi-weekly, that shit was too good. Hopefully KC can get some entrants going again and stl will be back for the next one.

Rex, Peter, the issue has been fixed.

I can understand STL’s position on KC’s lack of participants, and less hype. The hype this time around WAS for BB from our crew.

I agree, if anyone should switch dates, it’s us. That’s why I PM’d a mod to switch our tournament date to 8/15.

Problem solved. It’s truly not our fault that there isn’t more players, it’s just KC doesn’t have as large a scene as STL does. We’re working hard to build one, for all games (not just SF, not just Tekken, but ALL games… except smash. Fuck that game. )

Probably not a chance of lowering it but, my main gripe is, the venue fee being so high for such a smaller tourny AND the owner giving me shit at the same time. not cool.

Looks like it’s going to stay the 22nd.

I’m sure everyone from Wichita is happy to hear this news. STL is going to just chillax, do AR, and then go to Ochio throwdown the week after, which is fine, because that’s what we’re planning on doing also. So basically, we’re going to meet in a tournament this month anyway.

For anybody in Wichita who’s interested in another local tournament, the Chronicles tournament / event starts on Friday. Street Fighter 4 will be there at 4pm, and I’ll be running brackets again.

Guilty Gear AC is also on Friday. Not sure on time.

Saturday I will be there all day with a ps2 console if anyone wants to play any fighting games. Maybe I’ll drag along a ps3 if I can get my hands on one…stay tuned. No game will be left behind!

And…just for fun, if anyone wants to play me in money matches on any game while I’m there (except for Brawl, I don’t really play that one), I’d be down for it. Especially for people who I’ve never met before, I’ll make a special exception. $5 minimum :rofl:
