No problems dude, real life comes first anyway. Weekend coming up tomorrow so if you want to SF4 it up anytime after you get out of work let me know bro. I’m actually trying to get back into fighting games and want to become tournament level once again. You got my number and stuff so just send me a text whenever would be the best time.
Also, I managed to pick up a SF 4 TE stick for PS3. I don’t like it at all. The buttons are sexy as hell, but since the stick is square, I can’t pull of shit. Well, thats not true. Maybe super turbos move inputs are completely different style as I can do everything on SF4 easily. I still prefer my mas stick though.
Hey Peter, what’s the turnout for this tournament looking like, you think?
I was considering coming down for this. I would go to STL, but I couldn’t get off work, and it’s a 4 hour drive to STL, and their tournaments tend to last a lot longer.
I have to work at 8 PM, but if you guys did Tekken and SF first, I think I could actually make it to your tournament, and get home in time to go to work on Saturday night.
I couldn’t tell you John. I know for a fact that two of my friends are in it for Street Fighter 4 (the same guys you played last time you were down here). Jude said he was coming, and so did another guy from another forum. Not sure about Darnell, and Andy said he’s going out of town for a Smash tournament.
Remember Petro, the guy you said you could hardly stand? He’s entering Tekken for sure. Outside of that, I don’t know how many other people might show up. Petro said that he had 50 people asking about it some time ago, but there’s no guarantee that many people will show up.
You’re more than welcome if you come here though – just don’t get your hopes up too high.
how was the tournament? ours was incredibly hype, you guys should try to make it out to one sometime. exhibition matches before the tourny, money matches after, 30(all local) for singles, and 28 for team(thats whats up, im so proud of our players for sticking with it)
The tournament was pretty good. We had a pretty modest showing, but it was a better turnout than the previous one: a total of 18 participants with the largest being Tekken, followed by Street Fighter 4. A lot of new players came out of the woodwork, so that was pretty cool.
Fun times fellas. I called this trip the “Wham bam, thank you, mam”. Went to Wichita, left immediately following tourney, made it home right on time for work.
Got to make that cheddar. See you fellas in 3 weeks at Max out!
Hm, this KoF is definitely something entirely different from the ones that I’ve played before. Last one I really played competitively was 2002 which was ridiculously fun.
Uhh, you cant even compare our ranbats to be honest. it should be them to switch their date. We draw 3-4 times as many locals, have 1/2 the venue fee price, have a better venue, better players, WAAAY more hype and extra stuff going on, actauly have enough people to support full team tournaments(14 teams last time…as opposed to KC…1 team of locals and 2 teams from stl ROFL) You guys should make the trip out here, we got exhibitions and money matches. Also tournys for Blazblue, KoF12. STL AERIAL RAVE, GET HYPE!
No offense to max out or anything, but take us out of the tourny last month and they had like 6 entrants…Aerial rave will have anywhere from 25-50
I see your point, but I’ll have to take it up with the other guys. They’ve already set their minds on KC for BlazBlue, and John and most of the KC guys are old friends of mine. Plus KC is much closer and I don’t plan on getting lost again for another six hours…
I have some friends in STL, but I don’t know where most of them are anymore like Chris and Brad. Shaun isn’t there anymore, and Tii is off roaming the Earth doing miracles of God the palace in Thai has commanded him to do. Do any of those old souls even play anything besides TTT?
Seriously though, both KC and STL just need to merge ranbats and just make it a midwest standard. Don’t know if either of you pull in more players from out of state, but that would definitely influence where I go in the future.
No need for splitting participants, just compound them together!
