You’re a bigger retard than I give you credit for. Developers are the most accurate source for sales numbers. What reason would they have to lie about it? Lying about it would be illegal. Falsifying that kind of thing will kill your business in an instant.
Those are pretty decent numbers when you consider that the subsequent releases were updates and not a fully new game. And for a fighting game (a niche as hell genre) at that.
Still doesn’t take into account players who digital updated their SSFIV or AE, so it actually shits on Resident Evil 6’s sales, which are actually at 5.2mil, not 6mil.
What? I own an X1. Definitely glad to see it back. But It doesn’t bother me since I have a ps4 as well. So I get sf5. Hopefully in the LE they’re giving away something Juri related.
Btw…I don’t think the tears of a 15 year old (or was she 12?) are that delicious…I can’t stand flat face asuna…same with kirito…
I’ll tell ya this…I don’t dig anime fighters. That’s a no for me. The only way they could get me to play anime fighters is if they put Juri in it. Other then that…I ain’t touching em. %'s art style reminds me of KI’s. Which I like, so that’s a + for me. I’m just getting hyped. Can’t wait.
I would have agreed on it being a timed exclusive yesterday, however with the info that it will support crossplatform play and that Sony specifically are being mentioned as “partners” I find it hard to think it’ll be released on XBone any time soon. I think it’s likely that the inevitable updated version will be on all systems though, especially if xbone continues to increase in popularity in the west.
Yeah, I think that’s their plan. Release this base version for PS4, then a year later, Super SF5 for all systems. Sony can’t claim any legal breaches because it’s technically an entirely different game.
They can’t claim exclusivity for an entire series. They can only claim it for one game per contract. Capcom would never agree to making the entire series exclusive in a single contract because that would be stupid and severely limit their future sales. Sony would never be able to pay them the difference in revenue.
Capcom is free to do whatever it wants with Super SF5. If Sony wants that to be exclusive too then they’ll have to set up an entirely new contract.
I don’t think capcom not creating an xbox version wouldn’t hurt or limit them at all (because those are the 2 best gaming platforms imo). It could be a developer/publishing choice of finance and convenience. only the future or a leak would really tell for the reason of this exclusivity. The rest is just speculation.
No it’s not speculation. They said quite clearly in their press release that the reason they did this is because Sony paid for it. There is absolutely NO reason for developers to make games console exclusive unless the manufacturer is paying them for it. It just arbitrarily limits the reach of their games, which is why console makers NEED to pay them to convince them to make it exclusive. If this problem didn’t exist then they wouldn’t need to pay them to make it exclusive. Use your fucking brain.
I haven’t seen an official statement anywhere, post a link. if you’re so on top of things you should know that there are statements/articles being released saying sfV will be a lifetime exclusive. Use your brain and learn to have a discussion and not be an ass hat. You’re also making stupid legal speculations that you obvious have no clue about.
I obviously missed it. if its true, just post a link.
Are there any examples of other games that have launched Exclusive on one console and then ported the upgraded version to the other, like is being speculated here?
Genuinely interested.
