I was watching some opinions youtube and a few people said it was also because of a possible crossover which means the pc players would be able to play against the people playing on the ps3 and I don’t think Microsoft was down with a crossover. Just another thought?

If Capcom wants SF4 to cross network with PC then I can see that being the reason it’s not on Xbone. Square Enix said the reason FFXIV ain’t on Xbox because M$ won’t allow for cross networking.
What’s interesting to me is that this isn’t the only niche - but system selling - PS4 exclusive. As was mentioned by @manbehindthewires, Street Fighter is the kind of game that will make people buy a particular console. Bloodborne is another (it’s why I have a PS4). Individually the numbers aren’t huge, but if you get a title like that in each genre it adds up quickly (and the outlay becomes a bargain)…
Actually, if it’s gonna have PC-PS4 cross play, that gives me a reason not to buy the PS4/PS4 version, since the PC won’t be suffering from a lack of community. That’s if Capcom can actually make this cross play online shit actually seem halfway competent.

At this point, if you want to play it you’ll need a PS4 or PC. Think about the pain shmup players went through having to get japanese x360s to play cave games - this is no different.

Still think it’ll just be a timed exclusive though, since inevitably there’s going to be a Super Street Fighter V and THAT will probably get ported to XB1. I’m seeing their plan here.
