Kick Justin Butt was the best part of that video.
Amen another rep WILL go to you…I reiterated this fifty billion times in my Alphaism interview…how many copies of anything are better than the original???
none…I’d rather have the original…Lets see which would I rather have Salma Hayek the Original or a Salma Hayek wanna be…GIVE ME SALMA HAYEK DAMMIT
Who would I rather play in 3s Justin Wong or all the damn 55 billion kazillion Justin Wong wanna bes out there?? Hmm lets see last time I checked Justin Wong is still on top while his copycats are just following his commands he ain’t even knowing he’s giving
So I am a leader not a follower…Do I get shit for it?? Of course because I deviate from the norm…but then again so do the Top Players in whatever they play…they create the norm…
As will I in what I do…
BTW you better kick The Answer’s butt at NEC. If I remember correctly that was the guy who wanted to get people into arrange mode for XI.
Hahahaha will do man lol…
i think theres a missing mid-tier that people are ignorant of called Casual-Hardcore gamer
i can tell by your persona your loving inventing stuff, i have subconcious respect for you because of that.
Thanks man yeah there could be a midtier…And we are forgetting what comes before Casual…yes that’s SuperCasual lol…
And then the Super Hardcore…
What do we call this mid-tier??? I dunno…looks for suggestions
I’m not avoiding anything, lol. Say whatever you want, doesn’t matter to me.
I was just replying to what someone said, i think it was shibuya. look back a few pages and you’ll see. Chibi you’re still my favorite K-groove player:karate:
KOFXII…
But I bet it still wont get accepted outside japan, mostly because it doesnt have capcum spunk all over it.
I’d like to point out I love SF and capcom as much as snk I grew up on both unlike some of you, Guilty Gear is refreshing and not like those games, probably why it took the number one spot in Japan.
I dunno where this anime debate came from, but guess what do all marvel vs capcom players read comics? does that make you suck and be a geek?
Nope.
<3 @ Cali.
When was the last time you played anyway ;p?
As much as I’d like NOT to believe this somehow I believe this is gonna be the case…
As we have all pointed out before…some equate quality with CAPCOM.meaning if it aint got Capcoms “Seal of Approval” no one in the US is gonna play it…
Sad it is really sad…
But still doesnt stop my campaign EITHER WAY!!!:annoy: :arazz:  :wonder:
I hate the K groove
Re: KOFXII
From an interview:
“We’re throwing out the [character] pixels that we have been using for the past 10 years, and we are going with new graphics,” Nona said. “We are hoping to make the ultimate 2D game.”
I hope the game lives up to that kind of hype. I’d definitely go out of my way to play it if it did.
^ Many of the 3s/Marvel peepz out here say they aren’t fans of KOF because:
- Nobody plays it
- Motions are wierd
- Graphics
- They only know how to play as Kyo/Iori/Terry/Ryo and they dunno any other SNK chars
Lame I know…:looney: Hopefully KOFXII will have better graphics. KOFXI’s sprites are just retouched and brighter than KOF2003’s sprites IMO.
AF is actually right though…funny thing is that them not wanting to play these new characters is the root of the problem within itself…remember when SF3 NG first came out and the hatred it got for having sooo much “New stuff” like Parrying and Only Ryu and Ken returned and like everyone bitched??
All be goddamn if that aint resistance to change I don’t know what is…
Its like if SF4 comes out and like EVERYONE is brand new except Urien some OGS are gonna bitch…
Stubborness I tell you…and lets see they only know about Kyo, Iori, Terry, Ryo from…CVS2…thats EVEN LAMER…
And Sadder
Fuck It I will be travelling overseas to spend time in Europe, Mexico, JAPAN and other places to get away from this close ass minded country that thinks we are the shit in everthing and we got some President that has “Iraq-tile Dysfunction”
Yeah can’t say you’re proud to be an American with that Dumb ass President we got in office…all other countries dont think too highly of us because of our little Warmonger in the Oval Office…:annoy:
The American Way…“If you dont agree with us we will beat it into you!!!”
And I get that here still with people trying to force 3s/CAP/EVO games on me and ridiculing me for playing my SNK games…
months ago:sad: …i’m about to go play tonight in though
And you shouldnt let it.
I hope so to, but I’ll be playing it anyway whatever happens .
Hopefully KOFXII will change that.
- That will change, hopefully
- pre XI controls/motions are tougher to pull off people who have just got into KOF can count there lucky stars.
- Finally no capcom fanboy will be able to say the graphics are shit, that will be burned into SNK history, what you going to say now huh? what? lol
- There going to get owned.
I don’t see how the motions in KOF are any different than SF…
Outside of stuff like the 21416+P/K power geyser/Kim thing, the occasional weird super (like Athena and Gato’s leader moves) and the lack of 360s, they’re pretty much the same. And really, the 21416 isn’t tough to get used to. I somewhat recently got into KOF and I can execute any of the moves…I suck at it for other reasons.
Well You got stuff like Raising Storm and all this other stuff that isnt typical Shoto DP style and supers that aint double fb motion so its unorthodox to a typical Capcom seasoned player…
The timing is pretty strict for some of these certainly in the older school games and then you have some odd timings like for breaking Garou style (doesnt exist in SF games) and stuff like Ryos HSDM 2k2 Max Ranbu which is like a Just Frame and stuff like that in general doesnt exist in SF games.
I do not think that people are so adverse to change as not to play a new 2d fighter when it emerges. I think people are, ultimately, quite happy to see the genre is still alive.
However, for players in the upper tier of established fighters – 3s, MvC2, etc – that the game must first be proven.
There is plenty of comp in their current game(s). Is it worth the change? Is it worth starting over again? Also, one must consider the amount of effort it took to achieve the level of skill they have in their current game(s).
For myself - I welcome a new fighter. I’m open to try it out. Spread the word about it and see what kind of competition emerges as a result. The idea of starting in on the ground floor appeals to me. I can not discredit the game because it is new. I consider the successes of Guilty Gear and Melty Blood (mind you, they are very similar games that use conventions we [as fighting game players/fans] are accoustomed to).
Those are my two cents.

oh yea the Raising Storm lol i remember when I used to struggle to pull that move out it took me ages to figure it out.
I have since figured three ways of doing it;
The quick way - used when you make the mistake of jumping at me, risky cos it doesnt always come out.
The normal way- like how it says in the manual, but I usually have to use mind games and make you jump at me, I usually sucker people in by actually letting them hit me, they get over confident and try and rush me down leaving them open for attack, theirs nothing better than finishing off my friends with a Raising Storm LOL.
The Guaranteed Way - This way will always work no matter what only thing it takes longer movements so its not good for someone jumping in, I only use this when someone is dizzy.
Yea I kind meant more on the timing of things spudly as DG said 2k2 was quite hard for me to learn I had problems with doing certain combos with characters.
I dunno when you started playing but I bet if you go back to those games you will see NGBC and XI are quite looser.
