3s is all about momentum than anything else. pressuing with strings while hoping you dont get parried. fun for the most part, but tottaly frustrating when you work hard to get a position then the moron just parries and supers and changes the momentum.

3S is very… strict… it has almost no BnBs… u just have punish combos for when 1/10 matches a ken whiffs a shoryuken… X_x rest is truly reading your opponent… 3S is in my opinion one of the best games ever… You actually have to learn completely over EVERY match you play… you don’t have one playstyle that owns the rest… overheads into super are just fucked, so you cant just block low all day and shit… shit like that make me wanna go to so cal and just play pyro/frankie and learn new shit

B&B in my eyes is a thing you just try to do over and over… ofcourse not always, but its always the same
and u cant have ‘the same’ in 3s… if sakura was in the game and u always needed to get in c.lk it would just be parry bait… thats why u have to mix it up… while in cvs2 with some grooves it just gets blocked, and u can try again and again

Yeah, I can play Cammy, Blanka, OR Sagat should I choose to. I’m rather scrubby unfortunately. But CBS != auto win. Just ask Burghy. Heaven forbid a fighting game have a top tier with fewer than 20 characters. Jesus.

People that are complaining obviously havent really given it a chance. OR have a misconstrued perception of the game.(from what they heard other people saying i.e.OMFG WTF I JUST GOT GC/CR.fp TO DEATH THAT GAME IS LAME DONT PLAY IT!!!111THREE?) If you get caught in the corner with a rc happy sakura doing hurricane kicks and fireballs, BE PATIENT. Don’t try to do what you want to do all the time, that will get you killed. Instead, do what you’re ABLE to do. Part of the strategy in cvs2 is patience, and recognizing situations and GETTING OUT OF THEM.
So when you jump and Sagat cr.fp you do death as an anti-air, you dont complain, you recognize it as a situation and you GET THE FUCK OUT. Solution to cr.fp happy scrubs: DON’T JUMP. If you got k s or n groove, and you just so happen to have a fireball character. Throw a low punch fireball out and chase after it. now your somewhat in and atvantage. Theres a solution to everything your opponent does. They roll from the fireball, you throw. They jump, you anti-air. They block, you start a preasure string. Theres to many people complaining about the game, and not coming up with strategies for the game instead of looking like a scrub.
Do you know why good players ALWAYS RAPE YOU WITH RC? It’s because you’re preeeeeeedictable. They dont throw out random rcs for the hell of it. There reading your mind, they know that you’re trapped in the corner desperate to get out and youll try to ATTACK YOUR WAY OUT. You cannot attack a rc because youll get knocked the fuck out. Instead just relax, BE PATIENT. Block then retaliate. Just because an attack is rc’ed does not mean the recovery has changed.:evil:
I think rc’ing makes the game better. Adds to the mixup game. Dont complain when your losing because you sound like a scrub. Theres always away out of it if you just THINK.

Patience is not just SITTING THERE. Patience means “to not force whats not there” Dont try to just run and attack all the time. You have to do what you’re ABLE to do.
S groove is not for turtling, its for rushing and mixups. It has run for a reason…
with kyosuke (and many other characters in the cast), no matter how patient you are, there just isn’t anything there EVER when playing against the top chars.
personally, with s-groove being my favourite groove in the game, and kyosuke being my fave fighting game character (as well as haohmaru and chang) i find that cvs2 sucks becuse they get so easily whooped by the top 5. but for you guys who love sagat, blanka and c-groove, i guess this is the game for you.
the game has 6 grooves and 50 characters, which means there should be nearly 1 MILLION different possible teams… the fact is, that 3/4 SBO finalists played the EXACT SAME TEAM with a possible 1 MILLION CHOICES. the game screams VARIETY, and yet there is so little. THAT’s my problem with the game.
you can say that no game will ever be perfect, that certain characters will always be played over others, but just because things are that way, does not mean it isn’t a problem. if the game is gonna be centered around 5 characters, then why make 50?? I’m sure everyone would rather see a game with fewer characters/grooves, but with alot more balance. perhaps when arcade games can be patched like pc games can, things could be different.
The majority of competitive gamers have already established that as long as there is a certain degree of variety at high levels of play, balance can go fuck itself. MvC2 proves this in spades and CvS2 just gets better with time as people find more good shit. Balance is overrated, let it go.
Gen, all games have their bottom tiers. You wont see someone winning SBO with a team of May/Anji/Zappa just like you wont see someone winning Evo in 3s or MvC2 with Hugo or Roll/SonSon/Servbot. Hell even in VF4 a Jeffery player is not going to win a national. Quit bitching. You use the shittiest chars in the game in the worst groove in the game. If you want to do that either a:get better than everyone else. or b:pick a different team. EVERY game has tiers, get over it.
To everybody who complains about crouching fierce. You know when Sagat does that move he pushes himself out of range right? If he does that move again, it’ll whiff and you can hit him after.

(terry rock geese, if you dont see that team its cause I havent updated my sig) Mid tier DOES have chance with top tier so dont give me that bullshit. For the low tier…you better work fucking hard as hell to make them good thats all I can say.
