I don’t see why though, I sure like him, and his moves would look awesome in 3D. They’d just have to give him a normal leaping command grab or something for him to work.
That has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not he should be in this game, they could make him god tier if they wanted to, they just made him suck on purpose.
And yes, he would look awesome in 3D. Much better suited than freaking Hakan :wtf:
You’ve obviously never seen Hakan. I’d take Birdie over him anyday.
Same with Rufus. He’s got to be the worst design I’ve ever seen in a fighting game, with Tekken’s Bob coming in close.
90% naked characters are pretty close to that too.
More isn’t always better. I’d rather a simple, but well-done fighting game than a ton of extra bullshit that I have to purchase that doesn’t do anything. Fuck extra costumes for real. Kiss my ass Cashcom.
Then why bring up their official stance on Mike not being Balrog? My point is this: Whatever Capcom has to say about Street Fighter’s story is no more or less official than anything fans have to interpret about it. Dudes want to say Q is in Ken’s background in SF2? Sure… he’s there, whatever. At the end of the day… It’s a fighting game. The story could be two fucks and a shit and it would make no difference.
Worst concept, not worst gameplay (though it was meh), geez guys.
Also, I like Hakan, he’s red with stone hair and covered in oil, something about that “oozes” style.
we don’t have enough of those?
I assumed this was what you meant, but I don’t understand what’s so non-appealing about him.
Birdy is a great concept, with 3D he could do so many cool things with that chain
Rufus is by far the worst concept
His moveset is based around his hair? He’s ugly as f… as well.
Rufus is funny concept. He is what should be - exaggerated, unusual and ridiculous. If you’re looking for handsome boys or pretty girls - here they are, even too many of them.
His moves are based around headbutts… He’s supposed to have replaced Balrog in that sense for the Alpha series, and the command grab was because in Alpha 1, they tried to get away from standard Gief/Hawk grapplers, and tried Birdie and Sodom… Gief was missed, so they put him in A2.
Not his hair, he just headbutts a lot. And I have a hard time accepting “ugly” as a reason tbh. A lot of SF characters have a face not even a mother could love. For example: Oro, Zangief, Hakan, Hugo, Blanka…
3S Makoto looked like a fucking dude with ugly feet and a butch face too. She was cute-ified for SF4.
…I want to call you an idiot, but this not being GD forums I don’t want to get an infraction
I’ll agree with Birdie needing more moves. I don’t think by any means the original moveset is uncreative but he could use something that adds a little diversity to his moveset. i.e. Zangief’s green hand and Q’s slaps
They need to get Bengus on board again for SFV.
Jumping at you with a command throw super was new for SF.
Also, in Alpha 3, he had that HP, Up thing, so he did have 1 or 2 new things.
Yeah that is correct. Although these less familiar characters are great to introduce and people are not as opposed to changing them Capcom could really make these characters respond to the next gen player. Just as long as they don’t mess them up.
I’ll be pissed if they change Hugo too much in SxT, I used to play him all the time in SFIII on the Dreamcast.
It never ceases to amaze me how alike we think…
Seriously get out of my head
The main reason i want to see them are because they did such a good job with the ones they have brought back (played a lot of gen, eagle, and adon) and i would like to see them try. Plus they have reached out to make poison playable, brought a good final fight representation to the fold, brought some representation from 3’s, 4 and 2. So it makes sense to have someone from the original besides the shotos, whether it is one of the ones they have already translated,or a new one.
Just remembered a character they most definitely need to bring back,
Oro
Yes, Other than Alex, he’s the character from SF3 I want the most in this game.
