I have to admit, after reading this thread…some of you have really ridiculous opinions, lol.
I don’t see why Gill and Urien are disliked, they are based off of reference, and the artists did their research…and executed everything very well. I think their designs are great.
And the art, itself, in my opinion is reason enough to buy a Street Fighter game.
Plus when people* say Capcom are mysoginist for making all their women only half-dressed, you can cite Urien as the most naked character ever.
But seriously the art is stunning and I think rivals the statue of David as a work of art. Put a pair of diapers on tsoD and there’s your Urien.

Youre right, actually. Considering Urien’s heritage, he is to look like the statues. David is an example. You really could draw reference from ANY work by Michelangelo…look at the drawings. Good point sir.
And yeah, for the people who said Gill was showing off graphics power, its true. That was a point, and his existance makes total sense to me. Somebody mentioned “Judgment Day” the song, early in the thread. He’s right.

I don’t have a problem with the characters design, I have a problem with them replacing stock characters that are franchise type characters with new characters that are basically the same move set as the old characters or kind of unispired. I mean think about it, Necro is basically a combo of Dhalsim/Blanka, Remy = an emo Guile, Yun/Yang = Gen, Dudley = Balrog with a Shoto Uppercut, etc. I could understand that most of the characters from Alpha and 2 would not come back, but damn. I mean those were my complaints when SF3 came out, but after awhile I enjoyed it. Could they have done better? Probably, but as long as they keep Ryu in it or some itteration there of (IE Ryu’s son or something), which to me is the main character I’ll keep playing it (Alex can fuck himself, no offense, he’s one of my top five favorites in that game but I don’t buy the main character thing).
