Sorry, I only respond to posts written in English. Sorry to hear about your impotence though, bro. And sorry you lower your standards like a bitch.
Can you imagine Alpha 3 being released in this day and age after Alpha 2 Gold? It had a hard time back then, but these days it would be defcon 3.
All I know is the RPG mode and survival mode in that game were fucking amazing.
If you feel your not getting your money’s worth - thats an issue with the game ITSELF NOT the DLC. We’ve all purchased games that we felt were overpriced or even DLC that we felt we didnt’ get our money for (map pack for BlackOps two weeks before MvC3 - I’m looking at you) - but thats not an issue with being ripped off, its a subjective feeling attached to one’s own opinion of the game in general or other mitigating factors. It is NOT based on where the additional content comes from.
Capcom shipped and ‘activated’ a fully functional game with a complete cast of characters…the game is no more and no less having Shuma or Jill in it…they are neither game breaking characters, nor iconic…merely more characters to play as. This would be different if HALF THE CAST was a DLC, but we are talking two characters who weren’t complete - and Sabre had some AWESOME points (I do scheduling and budgeting for a living so I’m 100% behind what he’s talking about) on that front as well.
The game was complete, the gameplay has not changed at all thanks to DLC you have to pay for, and hell unless osmething game breaking is found the two DLC characters aren’t going to amount to jack-shit anyways.

I think it was the RPG mode (is that the one where you can make your cahracter stronger?) completely ruined A3 for me…I completley suck because I played it too much and relied on crap from. My Honda was on some FF3/6 type sh!t hahah

Bad troll is bad.
I am the one who is sorry in this regard friend.
Simply being unable to keep up with a game at a faster pace or higher requirement’s on your limited skill set must be trying.
I am pulling for you bro you look great here.’
Enough of a side track and i am sorry i allowed myself to become distracted.
The real matter here is that people are sadly spoiled when we as fans put the pressure on to make the release asap.
Being hounded constantly causes things to get rushed and the flip side is if they took as long as they wanted they would be trashed for taking an unduly amount of time.
Also at that 65$ price point for the collector’s edition included the initial dlc so if they cut me a deal there, where is the gouging?
Yes, it is an issue with the game. My issue is that other gaming companies have put far more work into a finished product and have raised the bar on what we expect from our fighters now a days. Capcom is content with throwing us no extra single player modes. The DLC they are releasing i feel should have been included with the game cause it comes with so little out of the box. They did this with SF4, and they will probably do it with marvel.
The game doesn’t even bother to teach people how to play, it doesn’t explain what x-factor is, or what an assist type is, or how the magic system works. all that should be part of the training mode, but it’s left out, the training mode is essentially a lab for people who already know how to play the game.
And spectator mode, left out, this is a HUGE part of the game, and it helps players learn from eachother, not to mention the entertainment value of watching really good matches between friends or in lobbies while waiting for your turn, it’s the closest thing we got to arcade style play, and it’s left out, we’er just sitting there, watching two cards bump and grind eachother, that’s lame as hell
What about a story mode? The arcade ending were TERRIBLE. Sure, fighting game stories have never historically been strong. But alot of companies have tried and have definitely put together fun and interactive single player story efforts. Not done here, they threw together drawings and text. that’s it.
I’m sorry but there is no defense for this lazy effort work on their part. Let me make one thing clear, I think they nailed the fighting aspect and accually playing the game, they did it right and i’m very pleased with that. But i’m angry cause they just slouched on every other part of the game that extends it’s life, and helps us learn about the game in general. If capcom feels they can do this it’ll become the norm, and many of you have already accepted it as the norm. I for one will not.
Dont you guys feel marvel has earned more respect from capcom than this? It’s an iconic game, it’s known world wide and played world wide. It’s a major title. It deserves more respect than this.
You think spectator mode was ‘left’ out?
This is pretty much one hell of a point.
And wait, spectator mode is HUGE? Dude…that’s what we have videos for. That’s what we used during vanilla SFIV. Sure it’s unfortunate we didn’t have that, but really…what the fuck is the hoopla over that considering we never needed it before?
It’s comforting to know that these people in this thread who are so outspoken with their discontent with the pricing of the game and the DLC don’t have the conviction to actually refuse to buy any of it. I’m sure Capcom is cowering at the consumer power of people who complain about products they continue to buy.
Let’s not forget that due to arcades dying off in such large numbers, Capcom can’t make money off cabinet sales anymore. The development costs of MvC2 saw payoff both in home release and arcade cabinet sales. Now that a huge avenue of income has been cut off, they need to recoup those losses somehow.
I’m not defending $5 DLC characters, but I’m not condemning them either. The economics of video game development and publishing are vastly more complicated than what online thread bitching can cover.
It’s because the Vs. series has about a 90% 12 year old playerbase.
True story.
Its kinda sad that this game attracts so many children, but it’s logical, since the game is casual as hell and it contains characters like wolverine.
Just ignore posts from those baddies, and they will eventually stop, and hopefully stop playing aswell, since I am bored playing those people.
That’s cause in SF4 we didnt even have lobbies! Something that’s been in online fighters for some time now. How can you just say ‘Oh, other fighters have spectator mode, and so does SSF4, but we have videos for that. so it’s not a big deal’
It is a big deal, but I’m pretty much done here. I’m not attacking the game cause i think it ‘sucks’ I’m attacking capcom cause i think they got lazy. And i hope to god MK9 beats the shit out of MvC3 where it REALLY matters, in the wallet. so maybe they’ll wake up and put some more effort into their products.
2 million + units moved at 60+ a piece?
never gonna happen,mk has quite literally no chance of beating that.
I’m incredibly outspoken about this and I’ve never bought DLC anything for any game because DLC has typically never affected the game. Its only a matter of time before there is a top tier character\s that is available DLC and you will have to pay for that if you want to be a tournament player.
hypothetically, can you imagine characters like chun\yun available DLC for 3s if they were never release in the game? if you want to give the big finger to the developers, you can simply ignore it but those characters are so strong that any smart player will spend time in training mode figuring out how to counter some of the shit if not learning to play as them.
right now, DLC is strictly optional but once they start releasing top\high mid characters as DLC, the tournament community is virtually obligated to buy them to stay relevant in the scene.
I don’t think I’ve ever had more entertainment for my money than I have with Capcom fighting games. If I’m being ‘pimped’ then slap my ass and call me Cristal.
Speak with your wallet,it’s all you really can do.
The fact that your wrong will never really enter your calculations.
This is actually mostly all our faults with the rise of piracy and sense of entitlement.
If we will not pay to play they wont make anything for us to pay to play.
You missed the part in capcoms 20+ years where they have never release a real bomb and nearly everything was fun and profitable.
Also what i do not get is if you do not or cannot play at a tournament level, why do you care what only high level players care about.
Thats like the whole shitstorm they tried to throw for boxers and MMA fighters taking pure Oxygen before fights and between rounds.
Kind of like how Street Fighter 2 died because no one was dumb enough to buy the game seven different times. People are going to whine on this forum, and then pay Capcom 40 bucks for MvC3 1.0 after paying 60 bucks to beta test it.
Though to be fair, accusing them of bamboozling or cheating people is a bit of a stretch, since clearly there are many people who believe they’re getting their money’s worth from the game… which means they aren’t being ripped off, by definition. Though this is probably over your head with the barely legible nature of your posts and the bizarre way you push conjecture and opinion as reality and absolute truths…
wat .
