She had a few things in vanilla that were really overly stupid, and there were some general nerfs, like how all the slide got nerfed. But she got some hitbox buffs too.
Jill, is probably one of the better pixie characters, she’s just very demanding on team composition.
All this talk about any characters being bad in this game is so stupid. There are bad teams, for sure, but when it comes down to it, there aren’t bad characters.
It locks down for a long period of time, allowing him to set up unblockables if you, for whatever reason, don’t have drones out at the time. MODOK and Sentinel both have slower moves and big hitboxes, so the best defensive assist in the game that leads into a very high damage combo is nothing to sneeze at.
I’m also thinking it beats Spiral Swords.
I actually think PW is better than most people think it’s just that getting evidence is really an annoyance. Yeah vs a normal player or just playing casually it’s fun but if you are a tournament player and try it vs top competitors and people that just wanna win you are gonna have alot of trouble doing so. I think turnabout mode should at least stay and not lose it if you achieve it unless you do a level 3 of course. I mean Frank West doesn’t lose levels so why should PW lose his powers.
I’d like to disagree with you, kind sir. As a Tron main, I use her on point 85 percent of the time. With the right assists you can keep any character locked down for a great amount of time to get a mix up in. Whether that be j.H(I still abuse the hell out of this. It’s not hard to combo off of like everyone says) or j.S. I honestly feel like Tron is better in Ultimate than she was in Vanilla, not including assist. Speaking of her assist, even in Vanilla I used Tron on point. The only time I ever spammed Gustaff Fire was when I switched her out because her health was low.
I haven’t played too many Thors. The few that I have played were pretty decent. Knew how to mix up the overheads and command throws. I’m pretty sure my Tron got destroyed. This was a couple months ago, though.
I’ve gotten much better since then. >_>
You thinking Haggar is terrible is humorous. Granted he does have a tough time with Rocket Raccoon. But he’s one of the better point characters in the game. The complete opposite of being terrible.
I find alot of the characters ppl think are low tier, specifically bottom 5 to be hilarious. Arthur, Haggar, I need some of what you guys are smoking.
I play Arthur and yes he is crazy as an anchor but really it’s mostly chip. If the opponent still has XF and can block Arthur can have a tough time. Plus if you burn XF early regular Arthur with no assist is literally like playing Ghouls n Ghosts but with one life and where one hit probably means death.
East Coast tournament players. You saying he sucks on anchor makes you sound like one of those online scrubs & nobodys. I’ll agree he’s bad everywhere else though no problem.
Yeah exactly that. Arthur as l3 XF anchor is a played out concept. Arthur with meter in second, though, is great. Build up three bars, wait for an assist call, hit his L3, X-Factor cancel it: the super continues for full damage PLUS XF BONUS damage (x2 on the assist), and Arthur is free to move and dish out even more. Haul out some damage, close with an axe in the air to push them to the other side of the screen and start laming out. Back him with a good GTFO assist (Haggar in my case) and watch the salt flow. Additionally, gold armor dagger assist is one of the best assists in the game, insanely fast and with massive durability. Arthur does have shit-ass mobility and significant problems in his game, especially with teleporters, but as people start to appreciate the differences in his tools and what they’re good for I think he’ll get out of the “anchor only” ghetto and start to be appreciated.
