I feel like Shuma and Hsien-ko are in the same boat: great assists, not so great on point.
Of course, playing Shuma does bring you the advantage of wonky hitboxes.
Fixed that for you. Maya doesn’t care about teleport mix-ups. Command grabs, however, are extremely troublesome.
I don’t have any videos, I didn’t know this was something that people would like to see since it isn’t anything fancy. But I have been asked several times for videos about the stuff that I post.

In my opinion… the worst characters have to be:
Rocket Racoon, and Aurthur.
Even Viewtiful Joe. All the small people. I simply hate them… they dont deal much damage and have low Vitality. Zero is the only acceptable short guy.
Joe has low health? What?
PW and Hsien ko are some of the worst but that doesn’t mean they’re absolute crap (even though I believe they are), Joe is nowhere near bad, top 10 potential right now, RR isn’t great but isn’t bad, Arthur is only useful as an anchor or assist which means assist tier!
I don’t really consider them the worst, hell I love Wright on this one, I just think a lot of people think that everybody else on the roster is better
Personally I think under optimal conditions (always good evidence, two great assists ect.) Wright is top of the Low tier, or maybe the low end of the Mid tier really. Its just that you have to get so lucky with him and there is no way to do it consistently. I don’t think anyone in this game is so bad that they are unusable; its just characters in the low tiers are just a lot more specialized then everyone else, they need a team built around them to do good.

Japanese player, who has been playing since vanilla…one of the main players to push the marvel scene in Japan. Easily the best Phoenix Wright player.
I see. Didn’t know that about him. I remember I saw some vids from an online JP tourney a while back that had a Phoenix Wright player who was good with him.
He also switches between PW/Spencer/Doom and Hulk/Spencer/Doom, correct? I’ve been running PW/Dante/Sent for a while and I feel like I need a change of pace since Sent has his problems and Dante’s too technical for me right now.

He puts Spencer first on his teams. He tends to try to kill with Spencer first then DHC the killing super to Maya and gather evidence while the next character still hasn’t come in yet.
Shuma is great if you can get them to the corner… I use firebrand/shuma… And bon voyage to the corner… Switch in shuma, commence to killing their character… I have never played with Hsien ko… But I’m pretty sure She isn’t great anywhere on the screen. Also, I’m convinced that shuma should kill any character when he gets to the corner… Outside the corner is another story…
That’s actually a pretty clever team. Do you have Skrull in the back? That could easily be a “I touch you once I win” sort of team with Tenderizer unblockables.
I love the creativity with Shuma/Firebrand. Sick idea dude.

Skrull is a lot of fun. Elastic Grabs are so satisfying, that little cinematic where he slams the enemy a few times gives your opponent just enough time to realize that it is over.
