PW is the worse character in the game because he was designed to be some what of a joke character. He is more luck based than skill based.
Hsien ko is considered second when people forget Shuma or ignore the fact that Hsien ko has been in good ranks in past majors.
Phoenix Wright: Awkward, really bad normals. Awkward, low damage/bad combos (Investigation/Court)
Collecting evidence is entirely luck based. You can hit 3 good evidences in a row, you can get nothing but bad evidence/meat for as long as the character is alive. Lack of options(Oh you made a setup specifically for getting PW evidence? Enjoy bonzai trees and more meat than you have health)
It’s not like Frank West where he gets better with levels, because you can make him better mid-combo. You can’t collect evidence unless you have free time. And in Marvel, you can spend your free time setting up mixups better than Wright can even begin to build a case on.
Once he’s collected his evidence, his projectiles depend on his evidence. Once again, completely random. He only gets good once he gets turnabout which requires either a TAC or a specific combo.
And even then, he only gets *better. *While you’re working your ass off the entire match trying to collect evidence, throwing away bad evidence, putting out shields, calling out assists, trying to keep Magneto out of your ass long enough to hopefully get the right evidence and getting lucky enough to get a good enough setup to land a hit with Wright’s completely ass normals, only then does he get better.
While you get a speed and a damage boost, along with the best normal in the game (Turnabout St/Cr/Air H) plus a godlike level 3 which does 600k unscaled from anywhere on screen with NO startup…
You only get it for 20ish seconds. You need to deal with ALL of that, plus below average mobility for only 20 seconds of having a good character. Wouldn’t you rather just play Wesker?
Hsien-Ko: Outside of her 100% ass launcher with range slightly longer than a flea, I didn’t play her like I did Wright.
Just saying (Golden Armour) Hsien-Ko/Morrigan/Dr Doom(Hidden Missiles)=HELL.
