I really do not agree with You because this games are totally different. In 98um the game has new moves, some characters have new sprites also some characters would recover faster of some moves and the games has new characters. The games are not the same!
Earlier this month I played matches with a friend in KOF 2K2um I won for about 3 matches (10-13) my friend was confident He would be a good challenger in KOF 2K2 Original game but he was not I won (10-0) He did not win any match because I know every move in that game which is Why I agree with Emil.
Apart from not going to tourney’s, I agree with Emil on almost all his points. Also, respecting and recognizing high level is not dickriding…please don’t go so far. I think Japan and China are the best at KoF, and I would give the edge to China if there was abit more variety in their teams.

Mexico is not behind at all my friend, and hopefully everyone knows that now because of JuareZ WarZone. Alot of people that thought The Asians were invincible need to realize they have been brainwashed by the decade of dominance at Evolution as well as the glory from SBO, Duelling the KOF, the Great Battle and all the glitz and glamour. However KOF is a different breed, people need to open their eyes and realize there is skill all over the world.

Emil and many others believe Japan/Asia rules for free, guys that is simply not accurate, because if that was true then Bata would’ve raped everyone for free. This very misconception in this thread is why I did JuareZ WarZone guys, I gave Mexico a chance to shock the world, and if Bata would’ve won the tournament I wouldve gladly said Emil and you guys were right, as Lecter would’ve said, but it didn’t happen that way (and by all means do not think this is the end, only the beginning of the Mexico vs. Japan/Latin America vs. Asia War lol).

Emil is misleading alot of you with faulty statements, such as that Alexis from CD. Juarez is a scrub, when Khannibal even admits Alexis is not a scrub when Alexis beat Khannibal 7-3 at the last Juarez local tournament. Alexis earned Khannibals respect.

But an issue I have is when a lot of you guys go silent when Dune has clearly stated Bata has said that the reason he feels he lost is because the Mexicans were strong as well as the stick issue being resolved because it was Bata’s fault he didn’t bring his own stick in 2002 UM when he lost to Tarahumara 5-4 and Ivan from Chihuahua 6-2. Dune is the creator of Duelling the KOF, but yet he has enough dignity to say that pretty much a Japanese player lost in Mexico, that earns my respect right there for him and for Bata. Yes it’s not over yet, we have Duelling the KOF planned that will join Mexico, Japan, and Taiwan. Also there is plenty more in the future that will happen, I believe me and Dune have a good friendship.

Actually, while Japanese have obviously dominated Evolution, the people that truly know the scene, would realize the asian dominance without even watching a single match from Evo. The problem is that I don’t think you are very aware at all of the japanese scene…only the very popular players (popularity rivaling that of Mago, Daigo, Nuki, etc) and even then it definitely looks like you don’t follow them outside of international matches such as Evo.

I’m going to have to agree with Emil on this. I’ve seen some really good Japanese players that far outweigh anyone else in terms of skill.
I’ll put it like this, when I play someone from Mexico it’s always the same, except in rare cases. They rush you down constantly and it’s always the same shit. For example, they have the problem I have, they will keep on doing the same shit over and over even though I don’t fall for it or I defend it.
When I play a Japanese person they try to find clever ways to catch me off guard, they make me do what they want, they never fall for the same shit twice, and they never do something over and over to no avail.
In Bata’s case, if he had problems with execution due to rickety sticks, that is not an excuse! I have been there before and it isn’t fun. Yes it’s true he should have brought his own shit, but if he is a guest in that country then they should at least try to accommodate their fucking guest! I know if I go to an arcade I test out the cabinet and if it doesn’t feel right to me I’ll ask if there’s anything they can do to fix the problem!

You are using his loss to make conclusions that have to do with people playing on a level field. The conditions were definitely very unfavorable for Bata. He probably wouldn’t make a big deal out of it to keep the peace but it’s evident from his gameplay, his reactions during matches and what Dune told me, that these problems are being ignored and not mentioned in the videos uploaded and that’s precisely what you want to do to attempt to make some point - a point that is leaving out critical information.

It makes no sense for you to accept to play me online AFTER I have played you offline, because offline is a time consuming process while online takes 5 minutes to set up. It makes a bit more sense for me to make this kind of a deal (you play me online first since you are so unwilling to take such a small amount of time to get in some matches, then I play you offline which ends up being more of a sacrifice on my end just to get your ass to play), though even that isn’t logical enough for me to do.
