Lol at your comment that Wong “beats” Iyo. Wong doesn’t beat Iyo, he just won that one match that they played. He won probably because of a difference in metagame, as you said…not being exposed to his gameplay. However, saying Wong beats IYo is wrong.
Also, in my channel, I don’t specifically post Japanese/asian matches (as you will obviously see that I have a decent amount of mexican matches uploaded). I’m not uploading asian matches for any other reason besides the fact that they are really good matches. There are also “bad” asian matches I run into that I don’t upload, not because I don’t want people to see that there are bad asians (which there obviously are, I run into them online in fact) but because they aren’t of value to me.
And once again, you don’t understand this concept of “matchups”. Some styles are based off a lack of knowledge - in other words, they are inferior styles of play. They can catch a BETTER player off guard because they are expecting something higher of you. Yes, they need to adapt to your lack of knowledge/ability but in the end, but let’s just say, I wouldn’t be proud of getting a win off someone for that reason because it doesn’t mean anything. But what I’m talking about here is different than saying that someone lost because they are seeing a different style that is new to them.
DG:
There will be a Mex National in Veracruz in mid/Dec. Are you planning to go? I was invited by Monterrey crew but man there is a lot of high level.
Vacation time, money time, lot of people is planning to go from every part of the country.
Yeah I know about that, I’ve got Khannibal scouting the tournament out so we can gain knowledge on people for the tournaments I’m planning next year. I can’t go to it though, I’ll be very busy planning tournaments, like now planning Mexico vs. Panama. But very possible in the future, Khannibal will tell me what’s going on. Also you and I could talk about the tournaments in Monterrey no?
God damn. I’ve been away from this topic for a while and I can STILL hear Emil sucking those oriental cocks. God damn. He does it so well that I’m surprised that Japan doesn’t have it’s own Emil Sex toy by now. With three different speeds. Seriously dude. Is it THAT good? Do you lust after Japanese man milk that badly? Seriously give it a fucking rest, play him in person and accept the fact that Mexican internets cause huge amounts of lag.
LOL. If he’s gonna bullshit I dont got time for that. I’m getting busier planning tournaments by the day so if he’s gonna play this childish shit I got better things to do like even planning a tournament for Brazil in the future. I also got a contact that lives very close to Buchecha that will rendezvous with him tomorrow. I just found out I gotta have a visa AND A PASSPORT to cross into Brazil but not into Panama… :wtf:
Uh oh I’d LOVE to see how this goes…Diety vs. Emil…Diety challenges Emil online but not the online Emil wants.
Did you not hear that DarkGeese lives in Juarez Mexico? Do you have any idea how fucking far that is from the US?
And I’m being called a troll by a J-Troll “oh wait that’s probably a compliment” With how you talk, you sound like one of those fucking weaboos that so badly wants to be Japanese and sucking all that Japanese cock may one day turn you into one or at least that’s what the goddess Toya told you.
And I haven’t said anything useful in this thread? Have you? The only thing I hear from you is the sound of a hoover vacuum on overtime going SUCK SUCK SUCK WHRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
I’m not saying Asians are bad and they do deserve credit, but you’re acting like they are the ONLY people who can play King of Fighters like if god touched them in an extra special place to make them gods among men when the reality is that they are also human and are fallable and can also be defeated. You however make them out to be some fucking messiah like teenage and middle aged women do to that faggy vampire on Twilight or Tweens and Inuyasha. You put them so high up that they can’t be touched when this simply isn’t true.
So are you going to drink some MOUNTAIN DEW before your bouts on GGPO? MOUNTAIN DEW GAMER FUEL?! Because you’re XTREME as long as you have the ability to play behind a monitor instead of facing someone face to face?
You’re also worshipping a country of people where the men wear panties and skirts, they have incredibly effeminate features and their women need a weedwacker to properly access the fun parts.
And Geese it’s not ONLINE. IT’s INTERNETS.
So it’s going to be like
Emil: Play me on MY INTERNETS!
Diety: NO. U PLAY ME on MY INTERWEBZ!
Emil: NO U
Diety: NO U WEABOO. PLAY THE SYSTEM OF AMERICANS
Emil: I CAN’T! IT MUST BE ON THE WII ONLINE IF IT"S CONSOLE WARS!
I dont live in Juarez, I live near Louisiana (in Texas) actually. But I am in Juarez, Mexico quite a bit enough to where they say I’m one of them. I’m there so much I feel like I live there.
It only takes “5 minutes” to run to Walmart and purchase one and hook it up. If I hook up my 360 to my MAC Laptop with a home-built generator somehow attached to it, then will you play me on my connection so I can 1-man you constantly?
I’m sorry, but the only thing I hear is constant cock sucking from you. What am I supposed to be jealous of? Their two inch dicks? Their lack of muscle mass? Their ability to look more feminine then their own women? I’m not feeling why I should be jealous. You just come off as one of those people who wishes with every fiber in their being that they could be Japanese or in your case WAPANESE. I love how you claim jealousy when they’re some of the most effeminate weirdos one can meet. Have you ever been to Japan and seen how fucking freaky some of those so called males are? They’re going to love the fuck out of you since by technical definition you will make them feel like a girl. Of course that’s knowing which type of Asian you go after. Should I throw some Kawaii Desu Desu in for you too before they finish that load and make your eyeballs twitch?
They’re the best at what exactly? Showing that they can bore the living shit out of me with their Kyo, Iori and K’ combos or some mixup with Daimon and Benimaru?
Yes it is irrelevant, but this is the culture that you are supposedly worshipping and defending. How does this make YOU look? There’s still a chance you can come back from the perpetual bridge of stupid you built yourself on with all that Japanese talk, but you gotta get off of it fast. You’re like the towel boy for Asians.
And for fuck sakes get the hell out of GGPO and fight some people in the arcades, gatherings, friends or whatever. Get some real contact other then keyboard kontact.
Okay I still don’t get this…DG is willing to fly down to Emil’s place and risk his own personal saftey and finances yet emil is still refusing lol. Well if that isn’t fear then i don’t know what is…and while I do respect online play I will admit it is not the same as offline play.
This was a good watch. I think you make a valid point about play styles and how you can’t just say Asia would win because they have SBO. Also you’re right we have no idea until an event that brings the best from both nations happens.
But if I had to make a decision right now and gamble on who would win and it would be a gamble because something like this has never happened before to the best of my knowledge.
I would choose Asia simply because of the population of players. I know South America and Mexico have large populations but Asia I’m sure has way more KOF players. That and the fact that China has arcades that are simply KOF dojos. Rows and rows of KOF machines that produce allot of highly skilled players, that’s one reason you will have Asian immigrants come to North America and just dominate in KOF. For example: I live in Winnipeg, not really a desirable place to live if your moving to Canada from another Country. Most likely you would move to B.C or Ontario not the cold Manitoba prairie and a city that was once the murder Capital of Canada. Anyways KOF is so popular in Asia we have players here!, students that are here for school or people that have moved for work and they’re really good. That’s just how wide spread it is over there. One guy opened an Oriental gift shop at Polo Park Mall in Winnipeg trying to sell KOF '97/'98 12inch statuettes of Rugal and Mary…etc. I was kinda shocked because if it’s not Naruto or Gundam it isn’t going to sell, the general public here has no idea who those characters are. But it’s a totally different world in Asia and those characters are still very popular because the game is still being played by a very large population competitively. That is why I would choose Asia simply on what I’ve seen an know so far.
On another note on Who plays KOF the best? online play vs offline play
This is how I see it. You would have to answer the question, what makes a great all around player? We all know about adapting to the fight, execution, character knowledge…etc.
The one thing that separates online play and offline play and to me the most important thing that makes a great player is the ability to fight under pressure.
With online play there is no pressure, your playing in the comfort of your own home. You can play when you want and as long as you want with no rules. Offline face to face with an opponent at a tournament you’re playing under pressure with a crowed, you need to follow the rules set by the tournament organizer and you are under a schedule to be playing at a certain time. This is nerve wracking and is a huge part of competitive Fighting Games. If you can’t execute and handle the pressures that face to face competitions come with. You’ll never be a truly great player. I see good players that are amazing online crack under tournament pressure all the time. They just can’t handle it and until they do will never be champions.
Ya, so comparing online play to offline play is silly. The best players play head to head in the same room. I’ve never heard of a champion that didn’t.
Thank you for sharing that that was an interesting read. :china:
But see the more I talk to people and travelling the more I realize that people may even be giving Mexico too much credit. People think everything boils down to Mexico, China and Japan and that’s really not it from the more research I been doing. There are alot of countries in Latin America that people don’t talk about and Mexico, China, Japan, Korea get the most publicity thus that’s why people put them at the forefront.
But there’s places like Panama etc where the situation you told me about Asia rings true even there, all the top players play each other, live close to each other, so they get to have **Experience, Exposure, and Adaptation.
**
The #7 ranked player in Panama just went to Mexico City and was beating the #3 ranked player in 2002 in Mexico City.
This same guy also told me he seriously thinks that Conejo (#1 in Panama) in 2002 will beat Kula and Osmani and is willing to put serious money on the table to prove this.
So yeah I understand what you are saying, but that exists in many different places I am just discovering about even in Latin America.
So once again that shows my point, it’s more than just about Mexico, China, Japan, Korea etc, there’s a lot of Asian countries we aren’t mentioning, Latin American countries we aren’t mentioning, so not necessarily Mexico vs. Japan= Latin American vs. Asia, it’s the same thing, we don’t know about the other countries.
There’s also Buchecha in Brazil, which I may spend $1,200 to fly from South Brazil to JuareZ to see how he matches up against all of Mexico.
So for me just when we think we know things we don’t. The world is just too damn big and it’s like outer space, you can spend your whole life being an astronaut and you still wouldn’t have seen like 20% of everything out in the world.
I’m at least gonna die trying to see almost everything.
We aren’t even taking into consideration Western and Eastern Europe, so there’s just wayyy too many variables the more research I’m discovering.
Every country has their godlike player/s that may be unknown, so that further complicates things.
Also about Online vs. Off absolutely, pressure, people shouting your name, sometimes talking shit about you behind your back, all that CHANGES THINGS…In real life matches, thats also where Adaptation plays into play. I forgot to mention in the vid, but Adaptation to the elements or your surrounding plays a big thing. You’ve gotta adapt to the console/arcade they are playing on, the button configuration they are using, the fact that you’re not on your home turf in the comfort of your home, the fact that you may not have eaten/had sleep all day, or bathed (Eww… ).
All that plays a HUGE factor in the determination of Champions…and the ones that have been EXPOSED and have the most EXPERIENCE dealing with all that are the ones that fair the best at tournaments.
Even Omerta who was strictly an online player like Emil, came out at the El Paso tournament and said the reason he lost is because he choked in front of the camera and that was his first experience.
What makes you all believe it wouldn’t affect Emil the same way???
