you know sometimes I think emil is wasting his talent
I mean so many hours spent on the game and for nothing, if I had his level i’m sure i’ve already flown to at least a couple of tournaments.
For someone like me who grew up playing in the arcades, to me that’s where the fun is at. ggpo is cool and all for training mode but still I want to go to the arcades and show off people my skill.
that’s the fun of playing fighting games in my opinion.

How is playing online the lamest shit ever? Lots of people play online. GGPO/2DF isn’t like SFIV online. Playing online isn’t a big deal. It’s easy and simple to do. You refuse online because of “macros” and lag abuse yet somehow you want someone who you don’t know and in turn doesn’t know you to believe you’re paying for their ticket and offering a free car to come to a tournament that isn’t far from the most dangerous place in Mexico? I think Emil vs. The World like bringing Buchecha is a safe investment no? I think it’ll pay for itself. If you don’t see that you must be blind. I’ve played Emil online before, he is good. He’s not the best player I’ve played but he’s very good.
But at least according to this thread, he’s TOTALLY backing down on people coming over to challenge him, even with a few people offering.
Dark Geese, I’ve never played before, but I’m pretty sure that he’s good as well, but I totally understand what he means by online/offline play. There is a difference, and he has stated before that his computer can’t run GGPO and 2DF
They’ll never see eye to eye, like Kyo and Iori, and that they’ll probably never fight :lol: cuz Emil won’t come out of his shell for ANY reason, and Dark Geese’s computer can’t run GGPO and 2DF

If Emil agreed to play me offline I’d get a CPU that would play him online. Make no mistake about that this would be the ultimate cash cow event.
Okay now to break down everything:
1a. Its clear. Only way this happens is we have to play him online (without the offline). So it’s Emil’s way or the highway. I say lets work together, I’ll play you online if you play me offline. He says “no, it’s my way or the highway.”
1b. Not really. My thing is this- He’s made such a ruckus out of this I won’t settle for anything less than to play him at the very least in person. If we are gonna play we are going to find out who is the better player…online AND OFF…Not just online… If we gonna squash this we gonna do it both ways not just one…
1c. No they won’t the world agrees with me…the world wants to play Emil in person matter of fact because he thinks Online actually counts for shit.
1d. No, because they don’t run their mouths like Emil does. If you play online I got nothing against you, but if you run your mouth like you’re God and talk shit about other players, you gotta pay up. All it is to it, you gotta be held accountable for your actions or you’re full of shit. Playing online ain’t shit, I’m sorry but it aint. But I’m willing to do it as a compromise so people can see BOTH sides of the story…not just one…who’s better online…and who’s better off.

Even if I was a horrible player, that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t have a good understanding of the game (because being a good player means having good understanding, as well as being able to execute and be able to think fast during the situation itself and not after the fact, etc etc). When analyzing matches, it’s really only the understanding that is required to do so. Regardless of how bad of a player I might be, it wouldn’t disqualify me from making judgements like “Alexis is nowhere near the best in Mexico” and “Mexico would lose pretty easy to Japan”.
The fact that you keep saying that you cannot tell anything from videos, shows you have no analytical skills whatsoever. And if you truly believe that, then why would you upload korean matches of “bad players” and then say that you believe you, Mr. Kof and Kane9999 can hang with them without a shadow of a doubt?
For someone that has only played on xbox live kof12, you have no credibility to say anything about GGPO/2DF’s online play. No credibility whatsoever.
Also, if someone gets blown out online, and the video actually shows why it was a blowout(clearly outmatched mentally, execution-wise, knowledge, etc etc) then the story isn’t going to be any different offline.
