Who like the x-factor system?

eh, a good option to have in the poll would be, “I like it, but the damage boost needs to be reduced”

People who are voting that they like it love the concept of it, but hate the damage boost it gives from the responses here.

I’m kinda with the majority. I love X-Factor, but lvl. 3 is overpowered. On the Pro side, it helps my Storm make tremendous comebacks with the odds stacked against her. On the Con side…Dark Phoenix.

X-Factor is terrible. Getting all three of your characters killed because of one character with level 3 XF while he’s getting his health back is just retarded. Sent should also be banished from using XF.

I’d prefer if the X-Factor, along with the increased “comboability”, negates partially the combo restrictions (scaling, stun, etc) than that dumb power up. At least it would be more fun, in my opinion. Or at least it would be way more funny and interesting than the current X-Factor Sent combos.

Or, like somebody said, it could be only “Lv1” power up.

uh yeah. again, XF most powerful feature is as a comeback mechanic. it’s all about handicapping the playing field for the losing player not the winning one.

yeah, but it comes with a caveat. apparently, a lot of people in this thread seems to like the benefit of killing off a character or possibly two for an early advantage with a lvl 1 XF or 2, but don’t like the ability of possibly getting 3 characters killed late in the match by their losing opponents lvl 3 XF. again, the reason why they put in these features is to make matches seem more exciting and closer than they would be without them.

I think X-Factor is a great mechanic. Sure, losing all of your characters to one doesn’t feel great, but X-Factor helps out defense too with the chip negation. Most of my comebacks I don’t even use X-Factor until the last character is left on the other team. I think it’s a perfectly fair mechanic, especially in a game like Mahvel.

I like the XF speed boost and life regeneration, but the damage boost can be pretty ridiculous. Especially when you have a character that is already fast like wolv, or does a lot of damage like sent. They really can be wrecking balls if they get hold of that lvl3 XF.

Shitty comeback system at lvl3, shitty thread

I’d much prefer a burst system a la BlazBlue or Guilty Gear, or maybe a choice between burst and XFC powerup.

Whatever the case, it is too strong atm. Hopefully Capcom will tone it down (which I doubt).

The people who like X-Factor are the ones who have Sentinel last. PROVE THY WRONG, BLIGHT!

New poll of who thinks factor should at least be changed should be done. With this some people vote they like even if they think it needs some changes.

I don’t like it.

I like the idea of it and some of the abilities gained are a neat idea. Problem is it pretty much gives you everything and feels like there is really no trade off for having the ability to do it.

Uh…

I like how it eliminates recovery.
I like how you regain your red health.
I’m indifferent about the speed boost, damage and no-chip.
I Do NOT like how it’s the more powerful each time you lose a character.

I would’ve really liked it if it just had one level. Keep the damage boost at 10-20% and the time should definitely be less than 20 seconds.

Just something about me being at more risk the more characters I kill bothers me. It’s not even like Ultras where even if the other guy gets an Ultra, you still have the advantage (most of the time anyway).

I’ll just throw this out also; I hate Mega Crashes.

Make the buffs Level 1 Equivalent, and keep the time limit at 15 seconds.

That’s it.

Level 3 Sent is manageable. As much as I want him out of the game entirely (Even without x-factor) he’s not the only person who gets to kill an entire team with level 3.

im honestly shocked that more people like the xf system as it is

I like it when its used for cancels, that is a great idea. I hate it as an “oh shit” button. I understand why it’s there, and why Capcom would want to implement something like this but… I hate how, and I don’t like using this word, “casual” it makes things feel. It’s like the game is holding the losing players hand so that they don’t quit playing from being massacred.

It isn’t forcing bad players to get better. It’s forcing good player to work around a gimmick.

I like the idea, but it’s too all-encompassing to last for so long sometimes. Maybe they should make it so level 2 and level 3 X-factor don’t exist and all activations are level 1.

i’d be okay with how long lv 3 lasts if if also didnt make you that much more powerful

I like it but level3 on some chars is just too broken

hahaa
do not like

combackbullsh*t is the the new marketing paradigm i guess

all we can do is guess how they will work this gimmick into every single new fighting game

at least i find it prety interesting at this point so far
