Who like the x-factor system?

The better question is, who would get bored much faster if this game didn’t have X factor? You don’t have to be good or terrible at a game to get bored of it, not really much to do, just two players who spent a long as fucken time trying to learn random made up combos. Meh, can’t really make up my mind which characters I like either.

I don’t get it … You believe a discussion forum should be censored based on what topics you deem worthy? Seriously?

Who cares if it doesn’t change anything? You’re not hosting the servers, you don’t have a right to get upset that an unnecessary thread (in your opinion) has been created. How does the existence of this thread affect your well being?

Level 3 is too strong

I like it, I just don’t like Sent with XFC.

It’s an interesting concept that has lots of potential, so I like it.

I’d like it to last less, or maybe last just for the combo after activation. It could heal faster to make up for the loss of time. It would serve as an incentive for people to use it on combos or to escape tricky setups. And it would add a trade-off if you activate it for healing: you’re faster and healing, but you can’t hit your opponent or you’ll lose it.

It needs to be tweaked. Not removed entirely.

I like the basic concept of it a lot.

Not that this will affect anything, not that it will change anything but that Zer0 Guy is an ass wipe

it’s too bad the poll didn’t have a third choice. personally, i’m indifferent to XF. i look at it as a handicapping feature designed to artificially create tension while protecting losing players self-esteem. however, if XF ultimate purpose is as a comeback mechanic. it needs to be extreme to actually stage a comeback.

if one is in a 1v2 or 1v3 situation. you’ll need lvl 3 XF (ie: God Mode) to stage the comeback. everyone who is saying lvl3 XF is too powerful and needs to be nerfed in some way. well, if you nerf it. it’s not really, really as good at leveling the playing field anymore. which would defeat Capcom’s entire reason for putting the gimmick in there in the first place.

i’m kinda indifferent

but i reaaaaally think that lvl 3 needs to be tweaked. To much power to the person that is losing =/

I posted this on another forum:

Which is silly. Being 2 characters up on someone used to mean you had an advantage. Now it means you block in a corner until their x-factor goes away, but with the crazy mixups now afforded them, you’ll probably lose one or two characters in the process, especially if your point was on low health, leaving you with one character left. Then their x-factor runs out, and you use yours and that’s how the match finishes. Every match. The same flow.

X-factor doesn’t allow for crazy comebacks. It makes comebacks the standard. That’s boring. I want to see a crazy one-character comeback Marvel 2 style, not this easy mode style. And I want to know I have the match just about won when their last character pops out and I’ve got one low health, two full health left, and that thought is what makes the comebacks so intense.

X-factor should be able to be activated to cancel animations on the 0th frame and have no recovery, so you get a free mixup/unsafe move. Or it should boost damage for the next combo you land/current combo you’re hitting, to let you take advantage of catching two characters at once. Better yet, let it not boost the damage, but just make all the damage you inflict on the assist permanent. And that’s all if it has to be in the game, which I don’t think is a good idea.

Level 3 X-Factor Sentinel

Im sorry it just somewhat a little amusing to me. But yeah X-factor is cool.

As it is now, Xfactor is a joke. They should have included some type of risk/reward to go with it, but instead there is absolutely no negative side effect to it. Maybe making the player choose what type of benefit they receive: speed boost, recover red damage, attack damage boost, etc. would have implemented some actual strategy to it. I’m sure it’s something that won’t be altered or fixed, but it amazes me that such a pathetic concept made it through the development process.

But for now, it makes it impossible to really take this game too seriously. I feel like I need to take a shower every time I nuke a team in seconds with L3 Xfactored Sentinel, that shit is just too dirty.

You forgot the option that says, “I like it, but it’s way too powerful.”

x factor is a dumb as fuck comeback mechanic the way it works now. It’s great as a universal “rapid cancel” but the buffs, other than minor ones like health recovery, should have been scrapped. Damage is already high, and the game fast, enough.

xfactor sucks dick
fucking casual shit, u own someone and all he got is his fucking arthur left… XFACTOR lance spamlance spamlance spamlance spamlance spamlance spamlance spamlance spamlance spamlance spamlance spamlance spamlance spam

yeahhh so skilled

All 3 levels should last the same amount of time, about as long as level 2. That makes level 1 less useless and level 3 less retarded. And the damage buff is too high; maximum increase for any character should be 50% or so. Those changes would make it perfect.

Like a lot of people have said, I like the idea of X-Factor… but it feels poorly implemented. Being able to cancel hypers into other hypers for more damage is a cool mechanic. And gaining back red life during it feels fair enough. But the damage boost seems too overwhelming for certain characters. I don’t mind Sentinel as a character, but when one combo from a super-armor, fast, low attack can take out any one of my full life characters I start to feel a little annoyed. If I destroy 2 of his characters while keeping all three of mine at relatively high life… does my opponent really deserve a long lasting super-mode for that?

Maybe if certain characters got a damage boost while others got a speed boost or a super gauge increase bonus or something like that, I’d be more supportive of it. Instead of the universal speed and damage boost the characters get, I mean. A super fast Sentinel might be scary, but at least I’d feel that the guy outplayed me if it took 3 fast combos using wake up options to kill me.

Or even have the X-Factor boost dissipate after an X-Factored character defeats one of his opponent’s characters. It would definitely lead to more tactical uses of X-Factor rather than “I’m down to my last character… X-FACTOR TIME!”.

This. I love the speed boost and such, lvl 3 x-factor Morrigan with Astral Vision is amazing. But I do think the damage is a touch severe. I’m not really too bothered if they nerf/don’t nerf it, I’d be happy either way. Still going to play the game.

it looks like most people like. I guess capcom make right choice. i didn’t put third option because I it force people to pick one side. If you are indifferent, the don’t vote will work. alot of people post many good ideas.

I like the idea of it, but it’s implemented horribly IMO.

I’m not exactly going to cry over losing to a Lvl 3 X-Factor Sentinel, but it ruins comeback moments more than actually helping them.

I mean it’s so ridiculously overpowered that people expect Lvl 3 X-Factored characters to make a comeback half the time. I’ve seen Sentinel come back down 3-1 (and other characters for that matter) so many times already in videos it’s no longer fun.

Oh well.
