Omega Mitsurugi was the winner AND after he won the Nationals, He went to Texas and kicked ALL the asses there. So even trough that he’s Dominican, he is the best at SC3 W/out doubt.
Once again, no offence but my post said, “when the game was popular”. That is not to take away from OM because he truly is a great player.
And when OM came to Texas, why he thought the best SC3 players were from Dallas was beyond me. It WASNT ALL Texas players as you hope it to be, it was just Dallas. I dunno who told him that or what (Dallas players best in Texas), but he was lied to. The only person OM played from that list was Hates. But its too late now to play the other 4 best. No one cares about the game too much these days. Unless AE comes out on console, SC3s life is pretty much over…

Who does Omega Misturugi use? Misturugi? However, I’ve always found those nicknames to be misleading, like MDJ for example, he played Jin back in T4, but in T5, I at least dont see him playing Jin anymore, so again, who did Omega use to beast people in SC3?

He didn’t thought that. He went to texas to visit his family, not to play. And still kicked MAJOR ass. If Texas players wanted to play him, they should have gone to Dallas INSTEAD OF STAYING AT HOME CRYING THEY ARE ALL THE BEST.
The best is the one that plays in tournaments and wins. Not the ones that stay at home saying that the Nats are a joke or whatever other excuse. Welcome to the real life.

In anycase, if you had read my post, i clearly stated (and to reiterate ONCE AGAIN) ***“the best players when the game WAS popular”***. Around the time of nats, the game was already considered a joke by almost all communities, including its own. I mean, i thought it was great what Chicagoland had done to jump start the community. But in the end, it was futile partially because of the ruleset they were allowing was made to make people happy. Because of that, without restrictions the game was a broke POS and no one really cared about it anymore.
Im apart of the SC community and i like SC but thats the truth on SC3s incredibly short lifespan.
And besides, i thought this thread was pointing at the best players in the US?

Careful man, con is entitled to his opinion and it’s his, don’t say “us crying thinking we are the best”. I know for a fact TX is strong, but because somebody won nats (it was in somebody’s backyard for god’s sake) doesn’t mean they are the best. However, I don’t believe in SC3 there is a proven best. I won’t say TX, Cali, DR, anybody. Mick left to the army, at one point in time he was the best. Then agustin from TX beat him. Really, with back and forth results like that, there is no proven best in SC3, just a bunch of people with opinions. Myself and Con know TX is very strong, and don’t jump down his throat for putting the people he KNEW were good, as he said “at the time”.
Just my 2 cents on some games, it’s opinion people. Some of you are getting your blood pressure all high because somebody didn’t put your favorite in there

2-Why the Texas players didn’t go to play when OM was in Dallas? It was the PERFECT opportunity to fight him, but no one showed up…
Just to claim later that there are better players, who COULD HAVE PLAYED HIM, but refuse only to say “We are the best” later.

Didnt see this and its actually quite interesting to see peoples opions and such but heres a couple of games listed or not more or lesst that I feel are statistics to the “Who’s the best in the US” conclusion.
Tournament Fighters:
Myself, Saiyd, Arturo or Sanford. Hands down the best 4 in the US in this game. I’ve won a NG tourny where Arturo got 4th like a year and a half ago. Sanford and Saiyd won a couple of weeklie Round Robins. People sleep on Sanford but hes a beast in this game too. Just like Saiyd says he swears by the “Brains” of the operation Don. hahaha
Neo Geo Battle Collisium: Ok I won Texas Showdown 6 and they handed me the official scroll which states. “Neo Geo Battle Collisium National Champion” now yes I did lose to Lucious and Clayton at FR9 grabbing 3rd, however at FR when I played Clayton in losers finals the settings were all wrong. There was no timer and vitality was on low. This put me at a slight disadvantage, but the match had already gone underway so by time I noticed it I said whatever after like 1 match. Taking nothing away from Clayton and Lucious cause theyre both very good players however one win at FR does not make them the best. Too bad they didnt go to Evo though then we woulda found out!

Me, Sanford, Justin, Ricky. These are like Top 4 right here. Im actually tie with Justin for second, Sanfords the best, then Ricky’s prolly a distance after Buktooth. I beat Ricky at MidWest 2005. Sanford beats Justin at T6 Canada. Justin beat me T6 Canada. I beat Ricky T6. Buktooth beats Justin at Final Round. (Me and Sanford were not there)

Hey now, I remember doing pretty well when ever I played CFJ come on… Though personaly I think it spretty hard to judge who was the best in the game, when the community fucking killed it in less then a year.
