hahaha I’ve seen both play and DAMN!!! I’ve given up on Smash commpetitivly…until Brawl come out! :lovin: :badboy:
Issai is awesome, but he is not the best example, Tomo Ohira wins that vote, he went through WW, CE, and Hyper undefeated in every major tournament he attended.
That’s because by then, the PS2 port of the game is out so they don’t need to be spending coinage anymore =)
Holy shit, now there’s a name I haven’t heard in YEARS…
Actually they dissapeared 3 months before the PS2 release, I guess they get bored with it easily, I wouldn’t:tup:
I would think that kevin parks would be up there in mvc1
Im talking since slash, not reload and cue’s record in Slash is better than Alex’s right now.
vampire savior
GBURSINE
lol guys some guy in my region wins more GG tournaments than everybody else because my region throws a bunch of tournaments that he wins
I think Evo singles counts for a lot more than winning a bunch of tournaments in your own backyard, thanks very much.
Alex G hasn’t done that hot in slash… in reload dude was killing it but only thing I know so far hes won. Was that tourney where he beat kensou Cue has been killing it D:. On a track record I think cue definitly is the best in the US at the time.
But I can’t say I think he’s hands down better then Zidane/Combo/ D:
and I just saw that dude 464646938322 list for slash WOW that’s just horrible. Marneto is FARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR from the best in slash I wouldn’t even put him in a top 8 in the us no hate but he fell a long way. And who the fuck is G blood? hahah
just for clarification, there are 3 tekken 5 games.
5, 5.1, DR
i think both evos crow won were 5.1
insanelee might be the best at DR
but i might call tomhilfiger the best tekken player in america. imo
No, they were on PS2 5.0. 5.1 is arcade only.
Gwyrgyn Blood for GG? and Isai for SSBM? Get the fuck outta here.
I’m gonna toss my cents in here, along with some doujin fighters. Their fighters too!
GG: Cue. Plain and simple. I WOULD put Alex on here, but his character has fallen off, and in succesion, he suffers too.
SSBM: Ken. Hands down. his Marth is fucking retarded. PC Chris is up there too.
NGBC: Jeron
Melty Blood: ZtB. =P
Eternal Fighter Zero: Hmm, this one is tough.
Immaterial and Missing Power: Bellreisa. Gwyrgyn Blood too, but he doesnt play anybody so I’m sure he’s fallen off hardcore and will probably lose to Master Chibi in this game now.
thanks, you know i thought so, but then i thought i was just being confused with DR.
tekken players were complaining that everyone played DR and so they didnt care about EVO, i figured it was 5.1, because nobody played that.
Crow won ts6 which was DR so get off it. The dude is the best tekken player in the states right now PERIOD.
what tekken players went to ts6? especially from cali? valle doesn’t count
The last and only major DR tourney to date was Norcal Strong Style, which featured japanese players attending too.
Crow is definitely the best in 5.0 no question, as for T5 DR, the latest version of tekken, I think that’s still a big toss up.
I am the undefeated champion of Eternal Champions CD, because I never faced anyone in ECCD in my life
i dont think anybody besides valle from california went. i could be mistaken though.
edit: just checked the site. didnt recognize any names from california besides valle. and doesnt look like too many top names were there.
crow is an amazing player. id like to state that before i get flamed.
Oh yeah I forgot about him.
But did he ever lose like in matches, not overall tournies? The most impressive thing is that Isai’s (recorded) win rate in SSB64 is like 99.6% and averages only 2 stocks (most of them being suicides ) versus the best players out there, both here and Japan.
Maybe I’m more biased because unlike Tomo, there’s plenty of vids out there of him decimating everyone and he’s STILL the best after all these years.

I can speak for SC3 but really, who cares about the game anymore?
Best players (opinion) when the game was actually popular on console… (in no order)
Linkrkc
Agustin
Mick
Blaze
BrianH8s (came up near the end of the console versions cycle)
I would throw Vints in there as well but hes a Canadian. Same with the nats winner, (cant remember his name) but no offense, the nats thing was kind of a joke.
