Who do you think will/should be in?

It also looks like there is a model behind Chun but her buns are covering the face. I do see dark hair though. That bumps it up from 15 to 16. That magical number 16…

I’m wondering this too. I played Alpha 3 back in the day, so I know how phenomenal from a gameplay design perspective Karin is, however R Mika…yeah I don’t see it. Perhaps a Mika enthusiast could clear things up?

I think Mika is way too goofy to work in the newest games. She’s like a female Hakan with a really skimpy appearance and an extremely loud personality.

Well…not necessarily. Someone mentioned a week or so ago, that Capcom’s trend is usually to have a different boss for SF games since SF3. The Alpha series was the only one where the common last boss was Bison, except for Alpha 2 where everyone fought their nemesis (which I preferred). 3rd Strike did that too, where Gill wasn’t necessarily the last boss you fought. But we could get an all new baddie this time around.

But, since this does seem like it’s happening during the 3S era, Urien could be the last boss for most of the cast and for others you fight your nemesis; for instance, if Alex makes it in, he fights Ryu at the end, Chun-Li would fight Charlie at the end, and if Abel makes it, maybe he’d fight Urien or Charlie.

Every SF game has had at least one character with some silliness/goofiness to them, but arguably the character isn’t revealed until an update. R. Mika, to me, isn’t as goofy as Dan, or even Blanka.

Damn the story!

Put every character in. :stuck_out_tongue:

Except Seth, we’ll have all the characters he jacked his moves from.

Bring all SF III character
especially Q

I’ve been going on about this for years, but if the bring back Blanka, I’d like him to actually do something different storyline-wise. I don’t want to grim him up, but we’re well past the “I wanna make Mama proud” he did that in SSF4, heck his neighbours and their kids love the guy. Dude’s a lovable beast man, I can see him marketing himself like crazy if Dan woke up for a sec. I don’t know, I’ve just enjoyed Blanka since I first picked up the game and don’t want him to stagnate. I love almost all the SF characters, but I’m getting to a point where despite my nostalgia and like of them, I could deal with Honda or Dhalsim being left out of this one. I don’t want to get to that level with Blanka. At the very least, he’s connected to Dan, and Sakura.

The only reasons I like Mika is her 360 throws especially her chokehold and her Wrestling Ring super. They all look really cool to see but I can do without her flying ass attacks. And I take a weird liking to blue-yellow color combinations. In other words, I like her outfit lol. I’d much rather have her than Elf but it’s whatever.

whatever i usually don’t main females anyway, at least that

in unreal engine 4 will be good

Hell, i take her over annoying schoolgirls as Sakura/Karin

I’d rather have R.Mika than another returning character from SFIV. I don’t think there’s another fast and agile female grappler in SF too.
And no she doesn’t play like El Fuerte, she actually uses her command throw as her main tool. She wasn’t very popular before because she was one of the worst character in A3, nobody played her. There’s butt attacks in every FG now, even Hugo of all characters have one.
She was bad but actually fun to play so if Capcom can make her good this time I’m all for it.

While I love the idea of a female grappler, R. Mika needs to look the part. They should make her more muscular instead of looking like an underage stripper.

Most real life female grapplers aren’t even bigger than her, in fact at 137lbs (62kg) she’s almost Olympic-class.(it’s 138lbs, if she returns as a pro wrestler she’s probably Olympic-class now)
Also weights more than Blue Mary and Tina Armstrong.

The new art style will probably allow her to look the part, she was already bigger than the other girls in SFA3 but the artstyle was too anime I think. (Just look at Blanka, he was scary in SF2 and here he wasn’t at all)
I hope she gets new outfits though, that’s the only thing I don’t really like with her.

She really needs a design update, that costume is just too weird.

Ten returning characters, six new characters; only if that sixteen character roster startup rumor is true.

The 16 character thing seems to stem from a misunderstanding of the Ken Bogard video. A user on Unity (SaiSpiritz) posted a link to a gamefaqs user named raazychx who understands French fluently. The only thing Bogard says about the roster is around 28 minutes in to around 28:12, he says that “he can’t give the number for the roster”. The “16” that was heard was from when Bogard speculated on a 2016 release date “deux mille seize” aka 2016. For all we know Capcom may indeed make a smaller roster or something a bit bigger. Nothing concrete though. It may be a good thing that we don’t know and hey, who knows, maybe it is indeed a smaller roster than USFIV and is around 20-25. I could handle that more than 16.

You should check posts 44 and 49 on :http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/895976-/70764851?page=4 that’s where all of this info goes down.

At first I thought Mika was over-the-top, but a few years ago, I was on a thread discussing her, and the term “Joshi Puroresu” popped up. It seems this is the type of wrestling that she does. It seems that the women are more known for extreme costumes and more intense physical feats – more ECW than WWE Divas.

At a quick glance I couldn’t find the frillier stuff that looked like a dead ringer for Mika, but I think those might have been videos on Youtube, it’s been a while, so I forget.

20-30 characters is what I’d aim for. No more, no less.

I’m french so I’ll watch the video and put an end to this number of characters thing. I should have done it earlier lol, just give me the night it’s Christmas time here !

I posted this in the other thread but it was buried so I’ll just repost my dream list here (that is founded on reason and logic!). I think this list is balanced and represents many different parts of the franchise while also subtly aligning itself with the recent popularity polls. I also firmly believe that the roster should not exceed 30 characters at any point in this game’s history. Season 1 can have 16 of these + 2-4 bosses and Season 2 and Season 3 can introduce the remaining 10-12. Finally I listed cameo characters that should appear in the background of stages and/or prologues/endings since they are relevant to the roster I have selected.

Good list, but why’s Sagat on the baddies side?

He hasn’t been redeemed yet. No one in the universe (but him) believes he’s good or that he has changed. Only through some noble act or some sacrifice can he ever become good again.

Also I had no where else to put him. :stuck_out_tongue:
